Wendy's — Restaurant in Plainfield

The drive through is always super fast but the food is never fresh. Just about every time I come here and get chicken nuggets, they are cold, stale, or have been re-cooked. I appreciate the speed but it can’t take more than 2 minutes to cook the nuggets fresh. Id rather wait a few minutes, especially if the drive thru is clear and you’re paying almost $4 for 6 nuggets alone.

Edit: This is now the 3rd time in a row I have come in and specifically asked for the nuggets to be made fresh. The person at the drive thru said “Yes, anything else?” with an attitude. This is all I order each time and it’s too difficult for them. Yet again, they are handed out to me and they are soggy and hardly warm. The drive-through again was dead and they had no other customers so there’s absolutely no reason for this. These people truly are lazy and just don’t want to work. I have spoken to the manager and she said the supervisors have been notified multiple times but nothing changes. The workers would rather stand around and talk and look at their phones than drop a 6 piece nugget for 60 seconds or whatever it takes to cook them. I would recommend not spending your money at this location unless you enjoy stale food. Where has quality control and work ethic gone? Would give it 0...

Its fast food. I get it. So expectations aren't really high. Wait in drive thru for about 20 mins for a double stack and Asiago Chicken... that I dont get it. Pull up to window, wait a few more minutes, told my total, wait a few more minutes then get handed food. I...I say thank you, the lady says you're welcome and walks away. How about, I'm sorry for your wait. Thank you paying customer for your business....nope. I'm gonna pass on Wendy's. They obviously dont appreciate their customers and there are too many other places to get chicken at these days. Come to think of it, there's a new place I passed after getting this piss poor service. Maybe if Wendy's focused on their service standards as much as they did their Twitter account we as customers would find value in money spent at their establishment. By the way, double stack was burnt meat. Should have been used for chili. Which if you didn't know, the meat in the chili is burnt burger meat, broken pieces etc etc. Whatever can't go on a bun is put towards chili meat. And the asiago chicken, was decent but the chicken seems to be getting thinner these days. Marketing budget probably cut into quality chicken budget. Them witty come backs...

update 11/2018 Still hit or miss.... Mostly miss. I've gone here too many times and had items forgotten or just not good (cold food, very small dry chicken sandwiches) for the most part the employees seem nice, they just don't pay enough attention to the quality of the food. People on here saying they don't expect much because "its just wendys"... Umm, yeah, I still expect good quality food when coming here or any restaurant. The food needs to be better at this location and consistently good for every customer at anytime of the day.

I always like going to Wendys for lunch /dinner if I need a quick meal. I recently Moved, and this location being closer than others, this would be the one I'd go to. But I can honestly say, this is not a very good restaurant as far as getting hot fries & the actual food you order. The last 3x ive been here, they have forgotten items and given me cold food. I don't recommend this location. And like another google comment, always different employees, who aren't very good...
