I was very surprised at this place, it is the first bar I have ever gone to where there are no TVs making people talk to each other. The tables are set up at a cafeteria style so you could be sitting with strangers there are no individual tables and there is a bar that faces a wall. I noticed a lot of children at the bar so I guess it's family oriented but it is strictly a beer bar no mixed drinks no sodas like Coke or Pepsi Etc which was a little bit of a disappointment as I can no longer drink beer. The beer is reasonably priced and comes in three sizes so you can actually sample a beer before getting a larger glass of it my friend did like the beers and he tried 6 different beers before he settled on one. There is no food served there but they do offer a food truck the food truck that was there was open from 5 to 9 and outside so during severe weather you do have to stand outside to get your food and you can bring it into the bar. This was a cheese food truck I noticed the people bringing in french fries and what appeared to be grilled cheese sandwiches and possibly a burger , we did not try out the food truck we were there for a retirement party who brought food. If you are a big Beer Drinker and like an open atmosphere like a lunchroom with better lighting and no mixed drinks for anybody else or sodas this is not a bad place to go. Unfortunately in the area for the retirement party there was no seating or tables there were two wine barrels you could use to put your plate on but that might have been changed if it was requested and maybe it was not. The wait staff was friendly and when the water ran out of the other wine barrel they were quick to change it so there was free unlimited cold water offered. I gave it 4 stars because of the staff and the fact that my friend did enjoy the beers they had to offer but we would never go again due to lack of accommodating non-beer drinkers. But I guess that's what...
Read moreGreat Brewery been coming here for years, love the beer, comfortable atmosphere, Staff has always been great with us. Only one negative - too many little kids. Don’t get me wrong - we have always brought kids with us, but they remained seated at our table and quietly played games with us. They were not allowed to run around and they were totally behaved - also over the age of 6. We use to be able to bring our dog occasionally. Sad that dogs have been banned.
Workforce needs to wake up and accommodate older adults that rather bring their dogs and put restrictions on the days and times kids are allowed. There needs to be more limits on the family’s that have kids running wild and parents chasing them everywhere. Sorta annoying.
Sorry Workforce, I love kids, but kids do not need to be around alcohol.
Dogs, it really does not matted as long as the adult isn’t over served and is responsible for their pet. I have never seen anyone over served in all the years we’ve been coming here.
Favorite Brewery still, if you can just loose the little kids (toddlers and younger).
Give us dog people some weekend times back with our dogs please. Let us enjoy our weekends with...

A Chicago brewery that makes some of the intriguing stouts in the south. Their stuff can be hard to find (typically sell out quickly) in Chicago and surrounding areas. While it is a mini pilgrimage to come out here as I live in Chicago I am satisfied with my decision. I only wish I could have brought my dog to enjoy the weather with me out here. They're playing various forms of rock from their speakers as we enjoy the libations and there is something for everyone. From lagers to barrel aged stouts and 4 packs to go. Their menu is accessible online and they even have a mini kitchen inside there is a small shared parking lot nearby that is first come first serve. Appears kid friendly and laid back. Wheelchair accessible.
Atmosphere: rustic, industrial Staff: friendly, welcoming, efficient Food/drinks: something for everyone Room for improvement: maybe more ideas for...
