What can I say, the food is amazing.
It was a packed house but our food still came out in a timely manner.
The servers are friendly and awesome. They make the meal more enjoyable.
The manager could definitely be on the friendlier side but not everyone is meant for this business.
I still stand by my previous review and say that Hiro Asian Bistro is the BEST AYCE Restaurant on the East Coast.
Wish kid prices were a bit more friendly. A petite 12 year old girl at $31.99 plus tax and tip is hefty.
Also at that price point, dessert should be included.
Update: Most recent trip.
5 Stars.
Reason. Food was better than ever. And they have a new server, a Male server who was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I love all their waitresses as well, as they are all awesome, but this guy made the meal so much better.
And another reason for the 5th star, that experience ruining manager was not there. They really need to replace him OR have him take some customer service and etiquette classes.
Update:
I had to take off a star.
Post Covid, they already raised the prices. But I could live with it.
But on my most recent trip, I discovered that they raised it again.
Working in the food industry, I know that overall, food costs have gone down since Covid.
They had an article this year that was titled "Greedflation"
Weekdays are now $33.95, and weekends are now $35.95.
If you're going raise the prices again, at least insert AYCE green tea ice cream and red bean ice cream, like Pre-Covid times, or something.
A weekly or bi-weekly spot has now become a 3 to 4 times a year spot. Not because of the few dollars, but because of the practices.
Their saving grace is that the food is still top notch and their waitresses are super friendly and awesome.
But I did notice that the amout of rice used in their nigiri was a bit outrageous.
Raising the prices but also adding more rice to each piece of sushi. Hiro. You can't have it both ways.
Update:
Prices are still raised. They have added one new menu item to their appetizers. Yellowtail Jalapeno. Very tasty.
Another glaring change is their tuna. Hiro always had the best tuna for AYCE restaurants. Fresh and delicious. But today's tuna was the frozen packaged kind. The kind that you can get at any AYCE.
Once again. The raising of prices should maintain the quality, not drop it. It was a very disappointing trip.
On the bright side, they have the friendliest and sweetest waitresses for any AYCE out there. Nicki and the rest...
Read moreVery polite staff food was very good and quickly presented in a very nice style Stephanie our server was fabulous. I look forward to going back again. Update: We have now enjoyed going back to Hiro several times and each time it is a wonderful experience. Jackie at the front desk is always so friendly and welcoming. She always asks how we are doing and did we like the food. Sometimes she walks around and asks how everything is going and do we need anything. Stephanie continues to be a wonderful server. She always recognizes us and always makes the whole eating experience great. We had Nikki last week as a server and she was terrific. We had Stephanie, Michelle, Sue, and Cassidy today and all were so wonderful to deal with. Michelle came by a few times to also check on us, as did Sue and Cassidy. Sue has a lovely smile and is always willing to help us with anything. Stephanie was our main server today and she always ties things together just right.:) We had Katie (Katherine?) last week, Cassidy's sister, and she too is simply a pleasure. So...you get the idea. This is a local bistro with a town-like friendliness that welcomes new and old customers just the same. Thank you, everyone! Here is another update! Last time we were here Michelle and Sue were great! This time, Nikki was our server along with the wonderful Stephanie. Both servers made our experience perfect and wonderful. Great food and great service. The young man at the desk greeting us with a big smile and a...
Read moreSo happy I got to try this restaurant! I was looking for a sushi place for my birthday and had never tried All You Can Eat before. It was so fun!
The booths are really long but sat 6 of us comfortably. A little dark in there with the shades down but all good.
Just as others mentioned on here, you get a dry erase marker and make your selections. Some people chose not to do all you can eat and they were happy with what they chose.
The sashimi? Yeah, out of this world. Totally worth it just for the freshness and deliciousness! The Shumai app was really tasty. The rock shrimp app also superb! Crunchy and delicious. I also love trying sweet potato rolls at every sushi place I go to. This one was TOP TIER!! Crispy on the outside with a good amount of perfectly cooked sweet potato. Just scrumptious. The white tuna truffle was okay, I liked the regular tuna sashimi better myself. Amazing Grace roll was okay, nothing crazy. I was looking for a non spicy roll and that was one of them.
My Dad did love the drunken noodles, as was highly recommended on this app, and raved about the crab rangoon.
Also, everyone got Thai iced tea because it was so yummy!
We came here for a Saturday lunch and was surprised at how quickly everything came out. And the discount for paying cash is nice! Lenni was our sweet server and we appreciated her quickly clearing our plates.
Will definitely be coming back! Everyone enjoyed and had...
