Bright Light Diner — Restaurant in Plainville

Good food overall. Just really needs some seasoning .... There were no onions in my fried potatoes and not enough seasoning. The cheese sauce was some shredded cheese over the top of potatoes very little bit. I went back in to ask for cheese sauce they were able to accommodate but reality is I asked to go what if I had gotten all the way back home b4 getting into my food.... They never think of that. For the amount I spent there it should have been perfect no issues. Then when I asked for salt and pepper they didn't have any of that to go either. They brought me a small container of salt and pepper from the kitchen. The food cost is good though. Not as expensive as usual places now a days. The inside was comfortable and they knew the menu when I asked questions about foods. No attitude when asking for advice. The girls are kind. They work hard to make sure everyone is special. It's a new place and the parking is great. There is enough room to park anywhere and not have to worry. No to go menus. The inside was casual and newly remodeled I loved the ambiance. Waited 25 minutes to be seated (not too bad for a Sunday)

We had our drinks and food orders taken promptly. However.. our party of 4 waited 30+ minutes for our food. Our biggest disappointment was the fact that our server did not check back in with us until we asked her to check in on our order. I work 35 hours a week bartending and serving tables so I totally understand how challenging juggling so many tables can be. BUT if the kitchen makes a mistake it’s YOUR responsibility to communicate that to your guests.

We were concerned that if we didn’t bring this to our staffs attention we would have ended up waiting even longer. There were parties of 2, 3, 4-5, that arrived and were seated after us and not only did they get their food before we did but also some were able to pay and leave.

Even after all our food came out one of our entrees were still missing. The manager did apologize, get our missing entree out quickly, and bring us complimentary waffles.

I’m not sure if they happened to be short staffed that day but a little acknowledgement...

Visited the diner for the first time, was very curious when I saw it opening on Facebook. My son and I decided to try it today for lunch I had a chicken salad sandwich with fries and he had a buffalo chicken wrap. The food was very tasty, however, it could have used a little more spices it was kind of bland pretty simple I should say rather than bland I should say it was simple. I had an unsweetened iced tea which was a little weak but I can't really say that that's a bad thing because it could have just been something that they had just made and didn't have time to steep long enough. The atmosphere was wonderful the service was wonderful the staff was very pleasant and attentive I would most definitely go here again. Since they are new I would imagine they will be relying on reviews to improve themselves so I'm looking forward to going again and trying other dishes.
