I was looking at Big Steve’s Grills website for the menu I saw in the lower left hand corner a man in a sailors uniform. Underneath the picture it read, “Always a military discount .” I’ve never seen the word “Always” mentioned but ok cool. Called for pickup. The phone was answered “hello.” I said, “Sorry I may have called the wrong number, I was calling Big Steve’s Grill.” She said, “This is Big Steve’s Grill.” So right off the bat it was an awkward situation. Went to pick up my order, asked the employee for a military discount since I’m a retired 20 year Army vet. Employee replies,” I don’t think we have that, let me check.” She comes back and asked if I was active duty. I replied no. She said the discount was only for active duty. First off, where is the active duty in CT? Recruiters? How terrible that this guy, who promotes “Always a military discount” while in an old navy photo, does not recognize Veterans, Reservist, or National Guard. Then got home and my sons fries were not cooked....
Read moreI wished I had taken a picture of my food before destroying it the way that I did. I have never, ever, had a burger like I had from this small establishment. The server immediately greeted me and made me feel, as a customer, appreciated. I work 3rd shift, and after some small talk, the cook/served told me that at Fina's, they will cook anything you see on their menu. And so, I ordered the cheeseburger for my "dinner." The it was cooked to medium. And I've never had a juicier burger. This small establishment beats out even the well-known burger restaurants. I implore you to check this place out. I even used the word, "implore," You have to try this place out! The menu is extensive, yet very easy to pick something that will surely catch your attention. By the way, don't skip on the fries. They have other items that I will get around to trying, but the fries were God tier. Overall, I'd say
Cheeseburger 8.7/10 Fries 8.5/10

Read moreIf you are looking for a cookie cutter production line meal, you've come to the wrong place, go to Red Robin and eat their processed stuff - But if you want an original luncheonette that makes your meal from scratch (like their tortilla chips) for their nachos and chop up your salad into bite size pieces instead of wedges you can't fit in your mouth. Their mushroom Swiss burger was perfect from bite one with the perfect amount of mayo, lettuce, thin pickles on top of mushrooms and the Swiss. Top this off with the best Gluten-free bun I've had. The atmosphere is friendly and warm because your in a Mom&Pop type of eatery. They make they're salads fresh and the potatoe and cole-salaw's as well. For dessert they make a beignet that you don't need to fly to N. Orleans to have. Come here to feed your tastebud soul and enjoy the timeout from the world. Return trip...
