Food: I really enjoy having a ramen place 10 minutes from my house! My favorite place is about 40 minutes away but I find myself going to Cece’s more often because it’s convenient and very good! I try to come about once a week and my favorite thing so far is the Black Garlic Ramen. The gyoza here is cooked the best of any ramen place I’ve ever been to! Definitely worth getting that as an appetizer. The broth is mild in my opinion and I am enjoying it. Lots of ramen shops think they’re giving you “umami” but just end up creating broth that is overly salty or heavy, so the mild broth has been a welcome change and makes me want to come more frequently. The tonkotsu and miso were both enjoyable too but I usually go with the Black Garlic. I haven’t tried any of the spicy varieties so can’t comment on those.
Service: I have always received great and prompt service here. And for those complaining, I have been here when the place is full which is at least 10 tables for only one or two servers and everyone was dealt with promptly and checked on regularly. The owner is such a nice lady and I would love to see this place succeed long term when there are no other dedicated ramen shops in the area.
I wouldn’t mind some more upbeat music instead of the piano medley that usually plays but other than that there is nothing to...
Read moreCece's Ramen is a terrific addition to any otherwise fairly desolate food scene in the area. Their Japanese and Thai menu covers all of the best that those countries have to offer and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of their ramen especially, which had good depth of flavor. We went with the Tan Tan ramen ($14.95) which was generous and where the noodles were pretty decent. I added some Togarashi flakes from the shaker on the table to give it a slight kick and it instantly was absolutely awesome. The appetizers we also had were pretty great as well.
This included the gyoza ($7.95) which was a decent portion which was nicely pan-fried. The vegetarian crispy Rolls ($7.95) came with four delicious rolls which were also a hit. The chicken Karaage ($7.95) was pretty good as well but came with some spicy mayo on top which was too spicy for my kid to eat. Oh well, no big deal there.
Service was friendly and attentive and they also have a ton of parking in their private lot. The decor is simple but it's pretty cozy inside.
All in all a great, new spot that I look forward to returning to. I just wish their kids menu was a little bigger but again, there's still plenty of great stuff on the regular menu that many...
Read moreWhile I was very excited to have a dedicated ramen shop open in the area, Cece’a ramen fell quite short. Here are my observations from last night:
No hostess to greet you, which makes it rather awkward to walk to the bar to have to ask which table to sit at. there was approx 15 people seated and it took 45 minutes for them to even have a waitress greet us and provide water. it took an additional 30 minutes after our ramen order was placed to receive it. This for a ramen shop is totally unacceptable. I’ve been to many ramen shops across the country and globally, and ramen should arrive pretty quick after ordering. the ramen itself was rather subpar as well. For myself I got the tonkotsu ramen. My two observations were: the egg centers were cold and very little toppings. My gf had the chicken ramen, which had essentially no toppings and little chicken.
Overall: very dissatisfied, yet was highly hopeful for a dedicated ramen restaurant in the area. I will try them again at a later time, just not...
