Dosa Flavors — Restaurant in Plainville

I must say food tastes good, portion size is small compared on other restaurants, one dosa serving may not be enough for one adult person. New place with variety of dosa and spices level. Very kids friendly, as you will get less spice food for younger kids. Medu -Vada is good.

However, this place needs more management, staff and courtesy to serve guests in an order.

We called in before going for dinner for a party of 20, checking in if they were open and will accommodate the large group. They were kind to accept the reservation on phone, however did not account for their supplies, already ran out on Sambhar. Dosas were served with only chutneys. Under-staffed kitchen, confusion with orders as half of the party wasn’t even served before they plated and served two other tables for guests arriving...

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. • Service was quite slow – the food took a long time to arrive, and no water was offered when we were seated. • The server, who wore glasses, seemed disinterested and didn’t smile or interact pleasantly. • By the time the food finally came, I had lost my appetite.

That said, a few items like the dahi puri and sweet puri were quite good, but unfortunately, the rest didn’t meet expectations. • Cheese bhel lacked flavor, and • Egg masala was barely edible – I’d rate it 2/10. • The chaat buffet was overpriced, and the service didn’t justify the cost.

Overall, I didn’t like the atmosphere, which felt unprofessional and low-energy. The staff didn’t seem motivated or trained well in customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place based...

We ordered the masala dosa, pori idlis, and spring roll dosa.

Taste: 8/10 – Delicious and satisfying, with well-balanced flavors.

Portion Size: The portions were on the smaller side relative to the price. I usually eat one dosa, but I ended up having two since they were smaller than expected. We were three people, and each of us ended up eating two dosas.

Ambiance: The seating was comfortable, though don't expect anything too fancy—especially since they’ve only recently opened.

Service: Since it’s a new place with limited staff, the service was a bit slower than usual.

Overall: A nice experience—when your tummy’s happy, that’s what counts!
