D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches — Restaurant in Plainville

After taking a bite of my chic #9 sub I found a nasty addition. I immediately called & texted Joe a picture. He proceeded to explain their vegs aren't prepared in house but purchased from a vendor. I was informed he would alert them & comp me a free sub on my next visit. For what we paid one expects better quality food than this! A couple weeks later we returned & Joe happened to be working. Nothing had ever been documented in their system as he originally promised. Only after I showed him my text was it even acknowledged. He called Rosa & I was rudely told I could only get same exact original item comped nothing else. They acted like it was my fault not theirs! Needless to say when we got home our order wasn't even right. Mgr was asked to call me of course no one ever bothered!!! Will go elsewhere...

The lady taking my order on the phone was rude and tried to rush through taking my order on the phone. FYI - deli sandwiches come with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. Wasn't aware of that. I told her I wanted a ham and cheese sandwich with mayo, toasted bread, lettuce and hots. She then repeated it and said "oh so a ham and cheese with toasted bread, no tomato and hots." I told her, no that's not what I said (very calmly) and she's got an attitude and repeated the same thing over again. I told her again that that wasn't what I ordered and she told with an attitude that deli sandwiches come with mayo, tomato and lettuce. This D'angelos location is small but it has been updated to the new style. I ordered the Steak Vermonter Lettuce bowl which is my go to D'angelos meal. Possibly not too common of order, the cashier seemed to hesitate taking placing the order.

I had come to this location one time before and the cheese hadn't been melted on the steak like it usually is when i order it, so I requested for it to be done this time. After giving the cashier specific instructions on how i wanted it made it came out perfect.

over all the location was clean and the employees were friendly. I wouldn't expect anything less from a D'angles almost always a solid experience from any...
