I was absolutely appalled by the treatment I received from the Starbucks in Target in Plainville. When I approached the ordering area the worker was on her phone texting which is fine when customers aren't around but I shouldn't have to wait for her to finish her texting conversation. I let that go because I know this is the 21st century and it happens. So I gave her a chance to redeem herself and walked over to where she was standing. She rudely said to me the register is over there. So I said oh ok well I have a coupon and it is for buy one get one. She had a blank face no reaction on her face. Her hat was sideways, her puffy blonde hair looked like she just rolled out of bed (ok I was trying to look past that again) I then asked her if this coupon had any restriction she shrugged her shoulders and said IDK. So I asked her if she was familiar with this coupon and actually gave it to her and again IDK! Ok now i was getting aggravated. I placed my order and she gave it to the barista. She then went into the back (but where I could see her) to once again go text on her phone). There were 3 or 4 customers lining up and she ended up leaving the station while her co-workers tried to catch up. Her co worker said I am sorry I will be right with you. I said no problem thats ok, it is not your fault that your co-worker decided to leave you with a rush. Then she became cocky and said well we are just trying to get breaks squared away. I told her I understood but her co-worker didn't have to be so rude because she wanted a break. She then said (with an attitude) well I can't control people. So I told her yes you are right but management can handle the situation. I can not believe I was treated this way by not 1 employee but 2 in one night. I have worked in customer service since I was 14 and never in my life have I treated a customer this way even on my worst day. Management should give them a class on professionalism and customer service!!!!I work down the street from this starbucks but will try to look for another location if this ever...
Read moreWe recently ordered two Matcha Lattes, and honestly, they were the worst we’ve ever had! They were completely different from what I had requested, and it was evident that the barista could use some additional training. The matcha was such an intense shade of green, it reminded me of a dark evergreen tree—definitely not what we were hoping for. It was simply inedible!
After driving away, we ended up having to stop at another Starbucks to get them remade. On top of that, instead of the grande hot chocolate we ordered, we received a third venti matcha. Can you see the issue here?
As a business owner myself, I know how these small mistakes can take a toll on profits. I encourage you to look into employee training to avoid these mishaps in the future. Wishing you the...
Read moreThe Starbucks in Plainville doesn't operate independently from Target. It's not like a store within a mall. It does fairly well with a steady line of customers whenever I've gone. However, there's constant shuffling of Target employees and the Starbucks seems to be an afterthought. They randomly close down the chain's reward point system and often won't honor it. They also don't keep proper hours that are regularly posted, closing early. They take for granted the amount of revenue that it must generate with a product that is significantly better than the horrible burnt or watered down sewage served at Dunks across the street. I attribute this fact to the brand's quality and not who...
