Ebb & Flow in Plano has a nice ambiance, but the food is just OK—nothing particularly flavorful or memorable. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the doors were closed, and we were seated very close to them. However, during the course of our meal, the staff decided to open the doors despite the temperature being just 50°F. Logically, we mentioned it was too cold, but the staff refused to close them at first or allow anyone to switch tables to a warmer spot. Eventually, they did shut the doors, but their attitude made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable as if we were asking something unreasonable. Later, other customers, who weren’t present when they opened all the doors, went ahead and closed the entry door themselves when accidentaly someone left it open, even though they were seated further inside than we were. Service was also lacking in other ways. Over the course of three hours, our waters were never refilled. At one point, a small sauce cup accidentally fell into a glass of water, creating a murky and unappetizing mess (see attached image). When a customer asked for an extra sauce cup, the staff curtly responded that it would cost $0.75. They also never bothered to remove the contaminated water glass, even though they were clearing other plates. Overall, while the setting is nice, the food is mediocre, and the service was disappointing. With so many great dining options in Plano, I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

My friends and I decided to eat here for an impromptu Galentine's dinner asother places were fully booked that night, but Ebb & Flow does not require reservations. The front sign said to seat yourself, so we picked a regular table based on other reviews mentioning that the couches were not very practical. This place is aesthetic (flower roof + neon sign), but the food was rather medicore. To start, we had the Cubano Egg Rolls Interesting take on egg rolls, but they're on the pricier side; $9.99 for 3 rolls. Presentation was beautiful and one of the better dishes we ordered, but I still prefer a traditional Asian egg roll. Next we had the California, Patty Melt, and Mahi-Mahi sandwiches (called hand-helds on the menu). The croissant on the California was soggy; overall taste was meh. The mahi-mahi had blackened seasoning, but boy was it SALTY. One of my friends really likes salt, but even she thought it had too much. I had to drink water and eat other things in between to finish it. Out of the three, the Patty Melt was the best. As for sides, we had the hand cut fries, sea salt kettle chips, and sweet potato waffle fries. They were all pretty good, but my favorite was the sweet potato waffle fries. The pasta salad was also nice. It was sweet and spicy, which was a good contrast to my overly salty mahi-mahi sandwich. Service was okay. Our waiter was nice but wasn't as attentive as we would've liked. We were thirsty and needed more water refills than we got.

We checked out Ebb & Flow last night for the first time. Certainly a beautiful ambiance when you first walk in! We were seated almost right away in a boutique style table with four chairs. My sister is deaf and they sent a waitress who knew American Sign Language (ASL) and she took care of us the rest of the evening. She was fantastic! We all shared toasted ravioli which was super toasty & crunchy with the right amount of beef inside. Dip it in marinara and spread some ricotta over it. You’ll thank me later. We also ordered Stuffed chicken breast which was stuffed with spinach, mushroom, and broccolini drizzled with fettuccine sauce. It wasn’t messy or overwhelming at all! Wood fired Pesto pizza in which the crust was super soft and all the toppings came together so perfectly! Patty melt which was light and full of bold flavors from what you’d expect from a patty melt! Side dishes include Sweet Potato Waffle fries which was one of the best fries I’ve had anywhere. Regular fries which was not bad either! And of course hands down best Mac n cheese I’ve had anywhere!!! Loved the white cheese and creamy flavor of this dish! Brought back childhood memories. I’d definitely come back!

Don't even want to give it one star. I was super excited to try this place for the first time last night. Our experience started out ok. It took forever for someone to take our drink order. And then another 20 minutes to get our drinks. We were finally served by a trainee. This place was not packed at all by the way. Back to the drinks. It was Cinco de Mayo so of course I ordered a margarita. The training waitress asked what kind of tequila I wanted. I said specifically "I don't want well. But I don't want premium. What are your options for something in the middle?" She rattled off some names and I just picked one. We order our food. It was good. Service was still slow. We had another friend join us who also ordered the same margarita as me & an entree. When we got our ticket we were shocked to see $33 margaritas! We knew it had to be a mistake so we got the waitress's attention & asked what the deal was. She immediately responded with "that's what you ordered" to which I reminded her exactly what I said about not wanting well or premium. She said she would get her manager who took 30 minutes to come talk to us. I won't go into detail but I have never in my lifetime been treated so poorly by restaurant staff. We were talked down to & made fun of. Things were said like "people who come here can actually afford the drinks". I explained relentlessly to her how I ordered the margarita & how I trusted her waitress's recommendation & that I would never order a drink with that price. She refused to budge at all & even threatened to call the cops. Mind you she was the one yelling & shaming us. She even started yelling louder after pulling her mask down. I finally asked her to at least comp my meal & I would pay for the drinks & that we wanted to leave. She said I'll see what I can do and she walked off. We waited another 30 minutes and she was no where to be found so we got up & reluctantly walked out. After the way we were treated & made to feel less than it was the right thing to do. The whole wait & bar staff chased us out onto the patio yelling & screaming. It was humiliating. The whole ticket was paid for by someone in our group all the whole being told that he shouldn't have come there if he couldn't afford his tab. Unbelievable. This place will never make it in the industry treating people that way & being shady with their drinks not providing a menu & having a "policy of not sending drinks back or comping them for mistakes." Such a scam. Was very disappointed as I was planning to have my 40th birthday dinner here but will be taking my business elsewhere and will be sure to spread the word to everyone I know that Ebb & Flow definitely does...

Horrible customer service and time management. Went out for a friend's birthday party brunch around 11:30am on Saturday, and everything was ok in the beginning until it ended downright horrible. Our first server, Claire, gave us a new version of their drink menu. We ordered almost immediately, but were waiting for about 25-30 minutes for our drinks to come. After those thirty minutes, all of our drinks had come except for my friend's because they had run out of apple juice. Waited another 20 minutes for the friend's drink. My drink was missing the "airhead strip", but I saw another table who got the same drink except theirs had it. Chitchatted with my friends for another thirty minutes and none of the servers came up to ask us what we were ordering, so my friend had to go up to the register to ask if we could get our orders in. At one point, another server named Jules or Julia walked right past us after we were politely calling out to her, and she ignored us and then sat down at one of the tables and started talking to whom I assume were her acquaintances. Finally when a server came to get our orders, it took around 30 minutes to even get one of the appetizers and a whole hour after we ordered to get the dishes. By then it was around 1-1:30pm and we had just gotten our food. The final straw was when we were waiting to pay and had to go up to the register two more times just to get the check. In terms of payment, they refused to give my friend her change because she paid in cash.... It was a matter of a few dollars which was not much of a problem, but the the manager was extremely rude and inconsiderate when I asked her to explain why they couldn't give my friend her change back. Overall, the restaurant décor/aesthetic was not worth it for such an...

Today two of my friends and myself visited for the first time ever . . . HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! I arrived around 3:20 pm today, I walked in to get a table and there’s a sign that says “seat yourself”. . . So I go grab a drink from the bar and mention it was our first time here and I was waiting on two other people. While waiting for my drink, I asked for this specific table to be cleaned so we could sit there when my girls arrived. I go sit with my drink and wait after the table was cleaned. While waiting I was not greeted by ANYONE or even given a menu. My girls arrived around 3:40, you would think someone would quickly greet us now that our full party was there and 3 servers where standing around, NOPE. After 5 mins, my friend (who’s 7 months pregnant btw) finally said HELLO can we get some help? A lady walked over, I’m assuming she was a server (couldn’t tell you her name because she didn’t introduce herself) and brought menus. We asked to order and she says brunch is over, “last call” had already been done. This would have been great information had someone greeted me when I initially arrived 30+ mins ago. We said okay, we I’ll order off the dinner menu, she said we’re not serving dinner right now. We asked when did dinner started she said 5 pm, mind you it’s 3:55 at this point. Due to the poor service so far, we refused to wait until 5 so we decided to leave. I paid for my drink ($15 btw) and my girls and I walked down to the Mexican Sugar restaurant on corner. Ebb and Flow is super cute and trendy but I can’t say I would ever go back. Customer service triumphs any selfie or instaphoto any day. Again highly disappointed especially being located in Shops of Legacy West. I hope ownership takes a serious look into “management” and the...
