I stayed at the Cambria Plano/Frisco on 🎄 Eve and checked out Christmas Day. I booked the room with the whirlpool online so it was a little cheaper. I wasn't to pleased with the woman at the front desk she barely looked at me very poor customer service. She didn't say welcome to Cambria. I see you will be in room such and such with the whirlpool. You will enjoy it. She could have also said our gym is on the such and such floor. Our restaurant serves breakfast at this time and dinner at this time etc. I understand about the signs that indicates where things are but nice hospitality is always good. The room was very nice, clean, and spacious. The room has 3 TV's, a den, walk in 🚿, the whirlpool has it's own separate room that was in the far back. A nice shower. I absolutely loved it. The water was real hot and the bubbles was what I needed. I stayed in that whirlpool for an hour. I loved the TV in that room. I watched me a 🎥. The gym was very nice and clean. I worked out both days. I loved the cleanliness through out the hotel. My dinner on Christmas Eve was good. I had the 🍋 Chicken, Rice Pilaf, and Sauteed 🥦 with cheese sauce. The employee Savannah wasn't friendly at all. I did like the way that Cambria sends you text messages to see how I was enjoying my stay. I let them know about Savannah poor attitude. She really didn't want to be there. She only had to work four hours. The breakfast was so good on Christmas. I worked out again and asked the front desk if they could turn on the 🔥 pit and they did. I took pictures outside in 30 degree weather at the pit. I took pictures and videos all over the hotel. The ambiance is very nice. I love the artsy wall. My on concerns was: I had charges of $400 and I seen the room charge was $298 and a charge of $100. I went to the front desk and asked them about it. The woman at the front desk said it has been doing that a lot lately but that $100 is an incidental fee and it will drop off and the amount of the $298 will be corrected. I do see right now it's only showing $198 and the $100 is pending. My bank said that will drop off on the 28th.The negative is bedroom TV only stayed on Bravo on 🎄 Eve and no matter how many times I tried to change to another channel it went back to Bravo. I let front desk know on Christmas morning the maintenance brought but I only had two hours til check out by that time. Over all I enjoyed my stay. The communication was...
Read moreThe rooms are really nice, all the staff I've encountered have been great, all in all I'd definitely stay here again.
EDIT: I'm changing my previously five-star review to one star. After leaving on Sunday, I realized I had left my kindle in the room, and we couldn't go back as we were already well on our way home (we live out of state and were visiting for the weekend). We contacted the hotel right away, and got confirmation from the person at the front desk that the kindle had been found by housekeeping and they had it there. We were told that we needed to fill out an online report and that it would be sent to us the following day (Monday). I got the email, filled out the report, and waited to hear back. By Monday evening, we'd heard nothing, so my husband called the hotel again. We were told that it needed to be handled by the housekeeping manager and that his hours were until 5 on weekdays, but that she would leave a message for him and have him get in touch with us on Tuesday. We never heard anything. My husband called yet again this morning (it is now Wednesday), trying to speak to either the housekeeping manager or the manager on duty, and he only gets transferred to voicemail and doesn't get a call back. Additionally this morning, I got an email that I needed to fill out a lost item report (which I already did three days ago).
The management here obviously does not care about maintaining a good customer relationship, and making sure that guests return. I understand that it was my own fault that an item was left, but it SHOULD NOT be this hard to resolve, and definitely should not take this much effort on our part. We will absolutely not be returning to...
Read moreWe stayed 1 night due to a power outage after storms came through. The Hotel was clean and pretty on the inside and out. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful, friendly, smiling, I loved this! I appreciate good customer service as I have done customer service my whole life. The room was very nice and clean. The sofa was not as comfortable as I would have liked it to be considering it was a faux leather and a sofa sleeper. The bed was too high for a short person (5' 2") to get on it, which we ordered a step stool from Target so we could get on the bed. Housekeeping was very nice when bringing us extra pillows. The shower has a handicap bar behind the shower door which doesn’t help anyone. You can’t reach it while showering. The hotel has a snack area with sodas but they didn't have bottled water at the time. The hotel has a restaurant which said it was opened for dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and you could order dinner to your suite. I called multiple time between 6 and 7:30 and the line was constantly busy, the front desk did reconfirm they were open. I never saw the restaurant open from the time we arrived until we left at 12:00 the next day at check out. They do have specific hours, and they should have been serving lunch when we left at noon and the area was dark like they weren't open. The hotel is very clean throughout and very nice. They have a very nice seating area by the check in desk and the restaurant area was very nice, had it actually been open. I did see the pool area and all was clean and nice with shade areas for when the sun is out. I would recommend it, just know the above...
