Best SouthIndian restaurant in the town!!!
I am from central part of India but lived and travelled in the southern states and tried food from all over the region. After moving to Dallas I was looking for good Tamil South Indian restaurant and found this place, have tried several different Tamil restaurants but there is nothing like this place.
No doubt this is best place to eat authentic Tamil South Indian cuisine, This is where we go whenever we feel like eating authentic South Indian food. Every time we come here we try to order different dishes to taste, we have tried their KAARA SAARA CHICKEN, MUTTON CHUKKA, CURRY LEAVES FRIED PODI IDLI, KONGU MUTTON/CHICKEN BIRYANI, KUPPANNA PANDHI MEALS, PAROTTA/COMBO and MUTTON KONGU GRAVY. Everything is very tasty and delicious. My favorite is Kongu biryani and mutton curry. I lived in Hyderabad for 9 years and when it comes to Biryani Hyderabadi dum biryani is my first choice but after trying the biryani here Kongu biryani became my second favorite biryani.
If you go on weekend, I would highly recommend to try their KUPPANNA PANDHI MEALS(UNLIMITED WEEKENDS LUNCH), they usually play the old 80’s tamil songs which mixes with crowd noise and creates the environment where you literally feel like you are eating Pandhi meal in a village wedding.
This a BYOB place, and service is also really good, they come and get the feedback after serving the food. They have hand washing area and cleaned bathrooms.
For owner- My only recommendation - you can get a water filter and serve the regular water instead of plastic water bottles. It’s my personal opinion but you know what is convenient...

Read moreGood spot for South Indian food! The food is good and the unlimited Thali is worth a try if you are a foodie and can consume loads of it 😀
The serving service is not that great especially for unlimited Thali because it requires a constant watch on the table and the needs of the customer which was something they were not able to manage. For regular orders, the service was good - moreover that does not need the same effort compared to unlimited Thali where you need to cater to the customer continuously with food servings.
The unlimited meals is served on a banana leaf and also comes with a starter, so if you are opting for unlimited meals, you wouldn’t want another order of a starter - we got the dry gobi(cauliflower) Manchurian.
Did not try anything else - that would be for another day!
We were regularly asked if the food was good, which was nice. The service at the start is also good to get seats especially during rush hours - weekends can get busy.
The seating may need a revamp, because some of the cushion seats are too old and have gotten down lower, making you feel the tables are higher.
The interiors are good but there is scope for improvement. The entrance has a really nice idol of the Indian god, Ganapathy (you can see it in...
