So first let me premise that I have been going to this location for over a year. I've been to it everyday of the week, every time of the day. So my family and I noticed patterns in quality and service over the months. Recently I had enough and decided to leave a review after visiting on average once or twice a week for over a year.
First we don't seem to have many issues with morning staff getting the orders correct.
However... all times of the day, every day of the week we went we hardly saw a single personable person. I mean as someone who HAS worked in fast food and is a millennial I don't expect a smile or a worker to be overtly friendly, but jeez would it kill you to look at me long enough to give me my food or maybe say something like a decent "here's your order!"
I have low expectations in life in general but DAMN... I may buy cheap food but I shouldn't be made to FEEL cheap by the workers. O.O
So I make the statement "what customer service?"
At lunch time or after it has gotten somewhat ridiculous at times. While we are aware we buy large orders most of the time and would have to wait for them to be made. There are many times we would go through drive thru to get 2 medium drinks and have to wait even when there is NO CARS in front of us.
( we kept doing it for the spicy water honestly )
Our family's average wait time for meals to get put INTO our hands from drive through alone is 4 to 25 mins. With 15 minutes being the most common wait time.
That is just wait and "prep" time.
I can't count the number of issues we have had with our orders. Drinks wrong, wrong items, FORGOTTEN items... SMH. We first chalked it up to our orders made them busy, then low staff numbers, of course holidays and even maybe they are training new people.
At this point even though this is the closet location to our place we are driving twice to distance now to go to other locations for better service. ( we just really want our food in a reasonable time and that it is all there when we get it )
While many would go speak to the mgr. we didn't' see a point. First when we would point out an issue with the staff many seem bothered by it. I mean we would go drive thru, get the order, see missing items and walk in to get them. Only to get met with annoyed staff. So why would we bother.
Not to mention logically that THIS many issues with orders or service is not just a staff problem but a management one. I have written few reviews in my lifetime (you can see on here yourself) but the SHEER amount of issues makes me feel I had to leave one here.
I am not expecting it to improve I am just trying to save someone time and money from going to such a place.
Nothing worse than being hungry only to wait too long, driving off to then find...
Read moreA Faded Star I have visited this MacDonald's for 40 years. They are my neighborhood McDonald's. My kids grew up here. I would be willing to bet I have consumed over 5,000 Big Macs here. Today was my last visit. I have watched McDonald's over the years-I used to get 8 hamburgers for $1 there in college. The organization evolved - it was a college hangout, then a family restaurant. They built playgrounds and welcomed families. Kids played there, and parents relaxed knowing their little ones were safe. Beautiful advertising shoed happy customers and delicious food. Then somewhere along the way, McDonalds lost its way. First, they got bashed for only serving high fat foods full of sugar-so they evolved. Fresh ingredients popped up, food became the highlight. They were losing market share by the minute to competitors so they stepped uo the game. And they prospered once again. Then they fell off the cliff. Restaurants were remodeled. Gone were family friendly places - in place were soulless boxes with ordering kiosks, and guess what-mo service. The Brand that everyone loved and trusted deserted their loyal customers.
Which brings me to the point of this review.
This McDonalds has sunk below the ocean. It is what I described - a soulless box with no soul. I took my grandchildren there today. The person that waited on me could not have been more disinterested -I repeated my order twice. The food on the wall posters showed stacked high Big Macs and hamburgers with lettuce and tomatoes. The Chicken Sandwich looked especially tasty-big and plump. Reality: The Hamburgers were flattened sandwiches with a little dab of sauce. The Big Mac was about half as big as the appetizing picture and the Chicken Sandwich was a burned chicken patty on a bun. So that's it. This restaurant is Franchised and is owned by someone wha has made MILLIONS off the good people in Plano. And he allows this to go on. Here's my take-I get to CHOOSE my restaurant that I take my Granddaughters to and it won't be this McDonald's, or any McDonalds ever again. I hope those reading this will make similar choices. We do not have to go there....

I ordered two Kid meals instead of getting apple slices or yogurt i requested extra fries like i do every time i go to THIS SAME MCDONALDS. She hands me my food i checked my food before i pulled off as i always do! I had two boxes of 4 piece nuggets in each box and one order of fries. It took her forever to come to the window once she did i handed her the food back and said this isn’t what i ordered. She said we don’t give extra fries i said since when i come to this same McDonald’s and the order is the same. I said either you take the extra nuggets you added in the box and give the extra fries that substitutes the apple slices or yogurt she said THEY DONT DO THAT keep in mind this location is literally 2 minutes away from my house. So i told her well if you can’t do that then give me my money back and take the food. She said she isn’t going to give me a refund.At that moment and time I’m mad i asked her for the manager and she said i am the manager. So at this point we are cursing each other out. Instead of her fixing the small issue she insist on arguing with me! Then she said i can give you the fries after we go through all this cursing and yelling. I was more of upset because she tells me they don’t do something when I KNOW THEY DO I REQUEST THIS AT EVERY MCDONALDS I GO TO and she wasn’t gonna give me a refund. Keep in mind i didn’t leave the parking lot not once didn’t drive off from the window. Just for her to go get some more fries and said SMARTLY ENJOY AS IF SHE DID SOMETHING TO THE FOOD I WAS GIVING MY CHILDREN. Her customer service was trash from the time she took my order.
