So the eggrolls are excellent. The stirfried vegetable delight was good.
I’m so tired of the price on a carry out being incorrect (always an extra 1 or 2). When I came to pickup, price looked high. Asked for a copy of the receipt and was given a non itemized credit card receipt. This is the last time to be overcharged. Ran the ticket through the online ordering and $17.10 with tax. I was charged $18.19 which would be exactly equal to $1 + tax. There were no extras or changes. Just got 3 egg rolls & vegetable delight. Pick up order.
Not worth the trip back even if could get them to refund or admit the error. I’m just frustrated and will vote with my wallet. Dining out is a luxury but we can certainly not go back to Mei Mei for a very long time.
——————————- Consistent food quality but staff is never smiling or friendly. Sine we don’t come for the smiles it’s acceptable but it would be nice to see a happy person greet us once in a while. We’ve been coming for many years. Sometimes don’t go just because we don’t feel appreciated as regular customers.
The vegetable egg rolls are better than average and the home made hot mustard is really good but for a to go order, it’s an upcharge. Doesn’t matter how much or what you order, Togo mustard is an upcharge. Dine in no charge. It’s in the table.
The rest of the items such as kung pow chicken & moo shu chicken are again consistent and acceptable but not outstanding. Still this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the...
Read moreDisgusting restaurant and unprofessional management. I ordered from Mei Mei via delivery and specified an extra well done protein & spicy. After receiving order and took a bite into my kung pao chicken it was more than apparent the chicken was RAW (with that slimy consistency). I immediately contacted GrubHub who called the restaurant regarding my experience. GrubHub informed me not only would Mei Mei restaurant mgmt not address & attempt to resolve/replace my order, they also would not offer a refund. I was beyond offended and taken aback that a business in the service industry would outright refuse to resolve a raw food problem or at the very least try to satisfy a consumer. That said, thank goodness I ordered thru GH. They apologized profusely & issued me a full refund. However I would be remiss if I didn't inform all of my social media followers via the public Facebook & Twitter about my unfortunate, unprofessional & atrocious experience w Mei Mei. In all honesty the government should inspect and shut them down. I've read other reviews where previous customers speak of an auto mechanic who was a patron there & they speak of how horribly Mei Mei management treated this gentleman & asked him to take his food and eat outside merely because she didn't approve of his appearance. I find this treatment...
Read moreVery fresh and tasty food, I only wish the sauce wasn't so watery, and that "very spicy" was actually spicy (it's not). I get the Hunan Pork, which is delicious, but the sauce has the consistency of water. I would like it if they used more starch to thicken the sauce so it clings to the ingredients better. By the time I'm finished with my meal, there's always a pool of watery sauce at the bottom. It's actually pretty wasteful, as I would prefer to actually eat the sauce on my food instead of pour it down the sink. Sauce is the best part! I always order my food "very spicy", and while it tastes great, there is very little spice. I'm not the first one to mention this in the reviews. In the past, I've ordered "medium spicy", and there is no heat at all. Perhaps the food would be spicier if the sauce actually stuck to it? Maybe that's the problem. Lastly, I always request plasticware with my order, but they've never (not even once) included it in the bag. This isn't a big problem if I eat at home, but if one were to order for lunch at the office they would be without utensils. The staff is friendly and I'm usually greeted with a smile, so no complaints there. Overall, Mei Mei has very good food and I don't have much to complain about, but there is definitely some room for...
