My husband and I used to take our children here regularly when we lived near the area. We made a special trip to Little Sichuan and the experience was a nightmare. Despite us once living the food, the quality, taste had really gone down. Ordered the beef flat noodles, the meat was unseasonably, noodles were overcooked and just meh. The orange chicken was fried in what tasted like cake batter and was more of a sweet and sour chicken flavor than orange chicken. The shrimp fried rice was plain, fry and flavorless. Even the vegetable dish... couldn't even eat as it was cooked with ground pork despite being in the vegetable side of the menu. Imy family doesn't eat pork and unfortunately had to throw away the entire container. What a shame and terrible experience. I spoke with a manager about the experience and if course, ZERO accountability, they have just lost a host of customers. We will not be dining here...
Read moreThe food here is excellent. I have lived in Taiwan for quite a long time, so my feeling is based on that. People that say the atmosphere could be better? This is very authentic style for this kind of meal. If you ever get a chance to travel to Taiwan or China, you will know that this is normal.
The boss is very nice and patient. We had mostly dishes off the menu, but the boss recommended a fish, and it was delicious. We also ordered stir fried cabbage for the kids, which was not on the menu.
The menu seems to have a mix of western style dishes, but there are lots of authentic dishes on the menu as well. There was also a menu on the wall that was written in Chinese.
If you want good Sichuan food, I would suggest trying mapo tofu, spicy chicken, kung pao chicken, Sichuan boiled fish. If you are adventurous, order my favorites, the black chinese mushrooms (酸辣木耳, and Chinese style tripe...
Read moreI find it funny that there are a few reviews that are negative and they state things like "bland", "tasteless" etc... then you read that they say they ordered the typical white american chinese dishes like "fried rice"... FOOLS... I mean really get out of your comfort zone people and don't go to a Sichuan place known for spicy food and order the least spicy items on the menu, don't be the typical white people. Those types of items are obviously not what they are known for. It is like going to 3 Forks and ordering chicken strips or a hamburger instead of a steak. This place has good food if you like Sichuan. I go there a few times a month. This place is usually packed with chinese people/families, so it can't be all that unauthentic and certainly is not bland.
I am a white guy I feel safe making fun of white people ordering dumb stuff at this type...
