Don't bother with anything besides their pho bowls. I've made the mistake of ordering their spring rolls, and the wrap was altogether too tough (and consequently too chewy), the substance in the roll was lacking, and the flavor was bland. The only thing that saved them was the peanut sauce. On a separate occasion, I ordered an appetizer of their fried tofu. Equally as unimpressed. Their rice dishes are okay, but the proportions seem a little off. Also, if you get the Lemon-grass chicken (their C2, I believe), it can come out a little tough.
As for their pho bowls, I recommend getting their P2 (speciality combo) or their P16 (meatballs). It's hard to screw up pho (though entirely possible), and they manage to bring out a solid bowl that won't break the bank. It's nothing to write home about, but I like it enough!
Their service, however, isn't great. I asked to move seats because they placed us at a table right in front of the door (there was a draft and it was chilly that day), and they only allowed us to move begrudgingly. The servers also seem to forget what order they should attend to their customers. Several parties that were seated after me had their orders taken before me. To add insult to injury, our food took forever to come out AND they messed up an order.
This place is a chain, and there's a better one down on 15th street and Independence. I recommend going to that one instead.

Read moreI've always enjoyed the food and service here but today was a horrible experience that will keep me from ever returning to this restaurant. I ordered Pho with flank steak, brisket, tendon and tripe. All good. When it came there was no tendon or tripe and the noodles weren't completely cooked. Not a big deal. The 60ish female manager (possibly owner because she's always there and rings everyone out), came by my table so I let her know. She told me that "sometimes you don't know what you're ordering" and next time I should order something without tendon or tripe. I politely explained that I WANTED those items, but they were not in the bowl and simply thought she should know. She then said that they "maybe only put in a couple little pieces for you, so not to much because you don't know what your ordering." What the HELL?? She literally rolled her eyes at me, huffed away and I never saw her again. At checkout, I got the quick fake smile and no eye contact. Again, what the HELL? I get that there are cultural differences but don't get pissed at me for actually expecting to receive what I order and think you were doing the right thing by making me what YOU think I SHOULD have ordered. But I suppose it was my fault. Far be it for a Caucasian to actually enjoy things like tendon and...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. By far the worst restaurant and service Iâve ever experienced. There are much better options instead of this location. Thereâs a sign that says wait to be seated but the restaurant was nearly empty so I donât know why it took so long to get us a table. The lady was super rude and extremely impatient when taking my order. I ordered the P10 and it was AWFUL. I wouldnât even consider that being close to Pho. The broth was extremely OILY AND SALTY. I couldâve just ate a box a salt if I had known that. I had tiny pieces of meat that looked like they had been picked off of. My friend ordered the Chicken Pad Thai Flat Noodles (N1)and he said it was disgusting. When he asked to switch it out for something else, the lady (owner) had a complete attitude and didnât want to takes his new order. We ended up paying our tab and didnât even bother trying to get something else. Not to mention, Iâm not sure if they have a plumbing problem but it smells like sewage waste in certain areas in the restaurant which also caused me to lose my appetite. If you want real food, go anywhere but here please!! Itâs such a rip off and nowhere near Vietnamese cuisine. I will NEVER return to this...
