Went through drive thru, not expecting 5 star service, but wow... the young man operating drive thru could not have cared less for his job. No "Welcome to Wendy's, May I take you order?" Nothing. Instead, it was " yeah, so are you ready !?! ". I honestly wasn't sure if maybe his mic was on and he was talking to someone else or not. He then made it clear he was definitely waiting for us to order. We decided at that point to just get 2 drinks and go elsewhere. I'm not sure if he was having a bad afternoon or what, but I'm disappointed in his demeanor.
I tried to lighten the mood when we made it to the weird corner to pay, I said: " Hello, how are you today?" He just stood there, took my money, gave me change, and shut the window, never actually acknowledging me except for his aggressive eye contact. I feel for the other employees that had to work the shift with him. It only takes one like that to bring down the whole team for the duration of a shift.
This is not a typical experience when going to Wendy's. 20 years ago, that type of attitude would not have been acceptable, and he would have been sent home. Perhaps if more managers raised the bar of what is deemed as an acceptable attitude in the workplace, this would happen less. This seems more like a management issue and an employee issue. Read moreI had the worst experience I had pulled through the drive thru numerous times with a truck and trailer and had never ever had any issues ordering with my vehicle until awhile ago I have never ever had the reason to leave a review like this but the service truly made me angry. I had gone through the drive-thru and due to my large vehicle I have to swing wide but I am aware of the sensor for the speaker I have never had issues in the past but I proceeded to pull forward for help and tried to order at the window but I was scolded by a male Hispanic manager that it was because of my vehicle and said “buddy you are wasting my time I have lots of work” what kind of response is that coming from a manager? I walked in and i did not receive a single welcome, Where is the HOSPITALITY? the customer does not feel valued here. This is not the first time going here and its consistence with the bad hospitality at location and its always this one I have visited the one on spring creek and they make me feel welcomed and i receive my order fast without a wait time. if you want bad service and a wait time of 10 minutes come here to eat.
