We were the first ever customers at this location and have been back many times since, but I’m writing this review now because everyone should know how kind the owners of the restaurant are. First, the food. We love the gyro bowls and wraps. The gyros are not traditional Greek, but everything is loaded with flavor and anything you order is enough for two servings. Some of our favorite items are tikka masala style, which the tzatziki sauce compliments wonderfully. The rice is always cooked to perfection. They also have a delicious mango lassi for dessert or to go with the spicier dishes. Now the owners: these wonderful people have gone out of their way twice to make food near closing. We came late in the day and they INSISTED on opening back up for us even when we told them we didn’t want to be a bother. They have been literally walking out the door and went back to make us food. Not to mention the first time we came in it was a soft open (unofficially open for business) and they were so helpful when trying to decide what we wanted to get, making sure everything was good and keeping an eye to make sure we didn’t need anything else. Aside from how much we enjoy the food, their kindness is one of the reasons we will continue going to this location...
Read moreA spot that really ought to get more customers, this place offers near perfect Mediterranean food.
The rice plates are enormous; probably bigger than any other place I've gotten Mediterranean food. On top of that, the Manhattan Rice bowl is a nice idea that I haven't seen elsewhere. They offer a combination of both their chicken and gyro meats on the plate, plus a falafel and some fries. For people that love to sample a variety of foods available at a restaurant, it's the perfect menu item that allows you to taste a bit of everything on the menu. Every individual item on the plates is so flavorful. You can taste all of the rice, pita, meat, sauce, and veggies distinctly when you get a spoonful of a plate. It's probably the best rice I've had at a Mediterranean spot in the Dallas area.
The side of fries here are perfect; it's a meaty potato center surrounded by a stunningly crispy outside. The falafel, though not the best around Dallas, is still very good.
If you haven't been here, it's worth the trip. Huge portions at a great price combined with fantastic...
Read moreI ordered a gyro and fries with extra meat. I received 5-6 fries and 4 pieces of meat. There appeared to be one worker, so thinking he gave me the wrong order, I confirmed that four pieces was considered “extra”. He said yes. This is also the kind of gyro meat that you get in school lunches. When I come to a place with ‘gyro’ in the name, I expect shaved meat. I couldn't take a picture, because I asked for a refund so quickly. Even that didn't go well. I did pay using Apple Pay, so maybe they aren't used to processing refunds in that way. At first he gave me a ten dollar bill. I refused it because my total was over $16. I had to come in multiple times. The refund that was finally processed does not match my card info, but again, that may be because of the method I used. We will see how that plays out, but so far I have no refund and the company they use to process online orders is closed for the weekend. The food that I was given was a JOKE. The fact that I can’t get my refund processed correctly is just icing on...
