Mr. & Mrs. Crab - Plant City — Restaurant in Plant City

I WAS happy they came to Plant City. I LIVE HERE. The music was Rap and filled with foul language. Just like the other review posted. I started to get a headache after 20 minutes. It is very loud. I did like the decor. Especially the giant shark mural. Children would love it. Music very bad for anyone. LoL My meal was a celebration. So I tried to stay positive. We got shorted on our portions as well. The bill was over bucks with no alcohol purchased. We drank from plastic cups with lids and straws and got plastic forks with no crab utensils. ????? What the.... My Favorite.. PAPER PLATES. We ordered a lot of food. Hoping it was as good as Brandon locations. NOT! Scallops were not cooked separately then added to the boil They sliced them really thin to cook inside the boil. What? The boil had them so saturated with the spices we did not eat but a few pieces out of a pound. NOT HAPPY. I was told by manager, that's how we do it. Who eats thin slices of scallops anyway? Our server was good. She did disappear two times. However took care of us. For this kind of money I expect proper platings, glass and metal utensils @ 125 bucks a person wouldn't you? Covid or not. I felt like I was at McDonald's...funny I read that in another review later. The snow crab was was bigger and also the same size as the KING crab. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? The snow crab was a decent size.(obviously) The King @ 80 dollars a pound, they should not even have served it. Smaller then snow crab!. I'm still stuck on that... We paid 20 dollars in extras to have decent listening music played first, over other purchased music. however they can pay to beat your fee. So we paid 3 dollars extra over each song…. That was pricey but worth it. Remember it was a celebration dinner. Manager could have done better. However being a business owner myself. I think her hands might have been tied. I went to Mr and Ms Crabs located in Plant City Florida with my mom and spent almost $300.00 as a treat for her. After the meal the server came with $20.00 worth of gift cards (four $5 cards) and thanked us for the large purchase. I asked him if I could use them at other locations (as I am not from that area) and he advised that I could use them at all locations except the one in Brandon Florida. I really appreciated the gesture and we let.

Fast forward to last night when I went to the location in Bradenton Florida. Before I ordered I Showed the server the card and she advised I could only use one at a time. I read the card front and back and could not see that restriction anywhere. The server took the card and showed her manager. She came back to say that I could in fact use all of them at the same time. I ordered one of the “chief specials” and added a pound of snow crab legs. The food came and it was…ok. The crab was inconsistently cooked, but I ate it anyway because I am not one to complain. I asked the server for my bill and I presented the gift cards along with my debit card. The server returned to my table and advised I could not use them anywhere else other than the Plant City location. I advised that location informed me otherwise. She showed me on the back in very small lettering where it said this. I had no choice but to pay the full price as I ate the food. I asked to speak with the manager who was no help at all, even when I pointed out that they had time at the beginning of the visit to review the card and I also pointed out that the server said I could used them all indicating at this location. The manager copped a bit of an attitude and I let him know that I would inform people of their deceptive practices.

My husband took me out for my birthday tonight 3/7/2024, we got seated and sat there waiting for over 20 minutes for someone to come take our drink order, I was just about to get up and walk out when a young waitress that was not supposed to be our waitress walked by and stoped and asked if we have been helped, I was agrivated and said NO BUT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME!! She was very professional and sweet and took very good care of us. As we were leaving I asked the lady at the front desk who was the assistant manager if i could please speak to the General Manager and she was quick to say no he not here when clearly I knew he was there, and she said "why" I said I just wanted to let him know our waitress I'm sorry I forgot her name and the lady said her name and said WHY, WHAT DID SHE DO?? Mind you she said this very HATEFUL, I said no no I just want to say she was awesome and I want to say and before could say any more this lady interrupts me and say ya ya I know the waitress told you stuff and I don't know what she said but I was busy and can't leave to help customers! And I said I don't know why you are getting loud and acting like this but all I want to say is I appreciate our waitress and how wonderful she is and then I walked out. This lady was aweful and rude to me!!!! I would like the General manager to reach out to me.
