My little brother is disabled, and our dad was admitted to the hospital on my brothers birthday. Without going into details, it was rather traumatic (even for me). My brother only wanted Waffle House to eat, & did not want to celebrate until dad was healthy again.
We went to this location, and had the best service I think I’ve ever had at any Waffle House! I do not remember the server’s name, but it was on 12/9/22. She was attentive, but not obnoxious. She picked up on my brother’s disability (he doesn’t “look” disabled), & she treated him with respect, but was also helpful to him.
I have to cut his food for him, and he gets embarrassed. But she came over and acted like she “forgot” to cut it. (We never asked her too, but she was trying to make him feel more human!) I was shocked by how amazing she was, but also in shock about my dad and forgot to get her name & misplaced our receipt.
She didn’t know what we were going through, or that it was his birthday. But she made a terrible, terrible day seem happy & normal for the 45 minutes we were there. I greatly appreciate it.
Later that night, we were with one of our other sisters & a friend… and he was crying about dad & “the worst birthday ever”. But he did crack a smile and say “well, Waffle House was really good”. That’s HUGE for him. So please know you made a major impact on us. That day will be embedded in our brain for ever, but we can smile at the amazing service &...
Read moreI saw a post about the smell of weed coming from cars out back where employees parked, but in my humble opinion, they were probably smoking some good stuff from the amount of love and care cooked into my food! It was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had in my adult, heck, entire life! (Sorry Mom)... I gladly waited for them to finish their smoke session out back at arrival in anticipation for an egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich on raisin bread toast, with a side of home fries. I actually was able to customize my breakfast sandwich which wasn’t even offered on the menu, but I can’t recall exactly what I got. As I sat down waiting, I noticed that the cook and the lady working tirelessly on her tables had more team chemistry than Tom Brady and Mike Evans. It was like a perfect symphony only Mozart himself could’ve crafted. The beautiful lady poured me extra coffee while I was waiting on the phone, and she even asked, since I got food for 2, if I wanted extra Waffle House sauce! Of course I did! That’s the best sauce this side of the Mississippi! If I could give them unlimited stars I would, it was probably one of, if not the best experience of my life. I wish my Grandpa was still around to hear about this experience, as he was always big on Sunday morning diner breakfasts! Thank you Waffle House and praise the good...
Read moreWe have been going to this location for years ordering food to-go for our business, but due to this current “low staff” situation (that most) business are going through they have decided to not do to-go orders. They could pickup the phone and inform us of this, but instead i have to drive there and be informed by two contradicting signs, on the door. THEN once i went inside to ask for clarification the Hosts informed me, but yet I seen an order being bagged up to-go. Summary of my vent: Dear Plant City Waffle House, if you are going to be selective about to who you and when you want to cater to-go orders to then just tell us or just don’t sell to-go orders to anyone....That’s fair game. Done with my vent as I Pickup my food Starbucks..PS: Starbucks doesn’t turn away business and they have a...
