Stop what you’re doing and visit Pelican’s right now. Pelican’s SnoBalls will put every mediocre snow cone you’ve ever had to shame. There no other way to say it but they’re simply the best. I’m only giving them 5 stars only because more isn’t an option. With over 100 SnoBall flavors, you’re guaranteed to find something you’ll love. And these aren’t your average gas station snowcones that leave you feeling the need to immediately brush your teeth then renew your gym membership. No, these are classy and smooth. They also are wielding soft serve and scooped ice cream, making sundaes and SnoBalls stuffed with ice cream. Really, the challenge is to not lose count of how many times you’ve stepped up to the window to order in one visit. But thankfully the price won’t break the bank when you inevitably lose your willpower. This is a perfect after school carline stop to treat the kids, a great impromptu meet-up spot for you and friends, and the right place to drown your corporate Monday sorrows in shaved ice. Being family owned and operated, they’ve built an atmosphere that is very family/community oriented and after just a couple of visits, the staff feel more like friends than acquaintances…which is perfect because I certainly have plans to keep going back again and again for a long time to come! I can not tell you how skeptical I was when my husband and I drove past Pelican’s the first time. I am a native New Orleans lady and am always searching for prices of home here in my new state. I dove in and did some research- before our first visit. I mean - a SnoBall stand named Pelican’s referencing a Louisiana standard- better be what it stated. My husband of course had no clue why I was so curious if it was a “ real “ snoball. Well- Let me tell ya - it was like a taste of home!!! I was super excited. I got a stuffed Wedding Cake. That’s what we called a snoball with soft serve ice cream. I figured if they got that one right anything else would be on par. The ice is perfect and that’s the key! The staff is great. I love promoting small businesses. I want all to thrieve. So this is more of advice than judgment. Please to all small bisiness hire people who are great with customers. Smile be friendly make your customers feel welcome .Hire people. Who are not good with customers to do the jobs they dont have to interact with your customers. My nieces and daughter are under 9 . they made a spill on a table they tried to clean it up so no one else had to. They requested napkins and they recieved eye rolling, dirty looks and people ignoring them as they asked for napkins. So they arent eager to go back .But thank you to the male employee that probably tried to make it better by offering their grandma a free ice cream . your employees reprsent your business...
