Love this place!!! What a gem! Fresh baked goodies and coffee/lattes. I've never been to a German style bakery before, and boy have I been missing out. A lot of fresh fruits, reduced sugar so that everything isn't coyingly sweet and full of oil/fats (just perfectly balanced). So delicious. Everything is homemade and the owner/baker said she arrived before 2:30AM every morning to bake everything fresh. Her attention to detail and flavors really shows. She was so friendly and asked us if we had been there before and let us know about the philosophy behind the bakery and about all of the items. We had the sausage, mushroom, onion on bread (I forget the name) and the flavors were spot on. Perfectly seasoned. For savory item- they also had a quiche, focaccia, and olive/sundried tomato roll which looked amazing. I got the beesting cake and English breakfast tea. The beesting cake is a traditional German vanilla cake with buttercream and sliced, caramelized almonds on top. I don't normally eat sweets in the morning and this was perfect with tea or coffee. Highly recommend if you like desserts like almond cookies or almond croissants. My husband had the peach galette and cake truffle which he loved. Can't wait to come back and try...
Read moreVisited today for the first time. I've been travelling to Munich every year since 2008 for Oktoberfest & other various times of year. I was always disappointed that I couldn't get the same bread , rolls & pretzels , not to mention certain desserts that I enjoy in Germany. Finally , today I saw some of that !!!! I had placed an order for pretzels & I can tell you , these are the closest thing to a Bavarian pretzel that I've ever had here in the states. I had a nice Butterbreze when I got home. I also tried the Chocolate Crumble Cheesecake which was delicious. They have Julius Meinl coffee , which I absolutely love, I've had this at a friends flat in Munich. This coffee is from Vienna & I drink it black , the machine they use made a nice crema on top , it was very tasty , hard to find a coffee like that , the way I like it anywhere , I'd go back just for the coffee !!! I loved the simple decor inside with wooden tables & chairs , like you'd find in a biergarten. I will definitely be back to try more things & make this a regular place. I wish them the best of luck with...
Read moreThe only bad thing I can say about C&C is that I wish I could go there every single day. The people - the employees and the owner - are all super welcoming and kind and all their food is amazing. I got essentially a grilled cheese and tomato soup the first time I went in. I don't even like tomato soup and I loved it. I saw a review talking about the coffee being bitter and the cup not being full, and all I can say is that's pretty standard anywhere that isn't Starbucks, so maybe expand a little. I usually get a latte, which is usually just the espresso, and then fill it in with my own creamer at home (I'm sure they have it available there but I always get to-go). It's so good. It's got a slightly fruity sort of taste to it and I love it.
If you're in Plant City for any particular reason and it's early in the morning on Weds-Sat, stop in at C&C. Just make sure to come in as early as you can. Trust me when I say they sell out FAST. People know quality when...
