I went on Wingstop’s website on Thonotassassa Rd in Plant City to place a future delivery order. The website offers the option of pickup or delivery. I chose delivery. It also asks if the order is for now or later. I chose later. The website allows the customer to specify the date and time that the future order is to be delivered. Once I paid for the order and saw a confirmation#, I saw that the website said for me to except my order between 42-47 minutes. This flagged me to call the restaurant. When I called, the young lady confirmed my order and said that it was being prepared. I told her that it was scheduled for a delivery tomorrow. The young lady told me that the restaurant only offered pickup and they don’t deliver. She said that her manager would call me back. Never happened. An hour later I received a call from door dash saying that my order would be cancelled.I received a second call from door dash’s’ escalation department and I explained what happened.She said that she would work things out with the store manager. I received an apologetic call from Mark Herman (the franchise owner) who said that my order was cancelled and my card would be refunded. The issue here is… The website and order process is misleading and has inconvenienced me, as the consumer. I explained to him that I live 1 hour 20 minutes away and i was low on funds. I placed the order for a small gathering that my sister in Plant City, is hosting. It’s Friday evening, my bank won’t release those funds until next week. His whole disposition was pretty much, “ I don’t know what to tell you lady, I refunded your card”. The same energy to mislead a customer in what could’ve been a seamless, positive experience, but ended up leaving me as a detractor (who will NEVER patronize or recommend wingstop), could’ve been resolved by just leaving a message to the staff for the next day… We could’ve simply picked the order up the next day…geesh I just don’t know what happened to good...
Read moreI ordered the following: 10 Korean BBQ wings, 10 boneless chicken parm, and 10 boneless lemon pepper. These came with 1 lg and 1 sm side and 3 dippings. I got the corn, the veggies bundle, 2 ranch and 1 blue cheese. What I enjoyed was the corn, the veggies, and the ranch. I am a huge meat eater and I did not enjoy any of the meats. Also the blue cheese was more similar to a ranch dip than a blue cheese dip, too sweet and no cheese chunks to be found in the dip.
What I did not like about the meats. The Korean BBQ was ok, no real korean flavoring to it and all BBQ (more like a spicy honey BBQ than korean). The boneless parm chicken wings had a very dry dusting of half salt and very dry cheap parm. The boneless lemon pepper chicken wings tasted like I licked the floor after just cleaning it with lemon scented cleaner. Very fake strong lemon flavoring, made me gag, and no pepper at all on them.
My suggestion: 1. Hire a group of real food tasters before putting these flavorings on the menu. 2. Don't use dry flavorings on boneless. 3. Freshly fry all orders at the time of order, the boneless wings had internal microwave cold temps, they were not hot like they had just been deep fried.
