Nope nope nope! What a waste of $16! (Our total for me and my husband was around 38.00) I ordered the 1 meat platter with chicken with the sides of BBQ beans and Fries Fried golden brown. The 2 pictures on the website menu which I attached, show pulled chicken, but apparently at the Pleasant Hill location it is a quarter...greasy dark meat quarter 🤢. The beans tasted OK but we're loaded with meat fat so it was hard to get to the beans! The fries were soggy and very bland! And the cornbread, besides being a baby piece, had no flavor...I had 6 or 7 fries, a couple bites of beans, one small bite of the cornbread and NONE of the chicken!! I will say my husband got the brisket...he said the taste was good but they were loaded with fat! And when I called to find out about the chicken the guy that answered immediately got defensive and i could tell he really didn't care what i had to say! We heard they were comparing themselves to the previous Rollin Smoke...NOT EVEN CLOSE!! Not recommending this to anyone including the neighbors dog!! The 3rd picture included os what I literally threw away!! The only reason I am giving them a 2 star for service is because the gal that checked me out was...
Read morePicture this: You walk into what seems like a hole-in-the-wall establishment, new to the area. You open the door and you're hit with a powerful aroma of smokey barbecue that very clearly indicates they've worked hard prepping all day (or longer!) and that you're in for something good.
My family and I decided to try this tonight, and my god, it was phenomenal. Between the three of us, we got two brisket sandwiches, burnt ends, mac & cheese, and fries. The brisket was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender and the burnt ends were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The mac & cheese was delightfully smokey and enjoyed by my mom and boyfriend. The sauces at the table were perfect; the hot bbq was too much heat for me, but not to the point that I was miserable after trying it. No pictures, unfortunately, because we dove in as soon as our plates arrived.
10/10, will recommend to anyone looking for excellent barbecue. We will...
Read moreFood was excellent. Little pricey for the portion size. I get how food prices, labor, and rent affect those. But then again stouffers lasagna considers me a family of 4. Ha. Baked beans and corn are worth me going to get those just as sides. The servers were very friendly and accommodating despite being very busy. The wing special on Sundays are a steal. Huge compared to other wing places in the area. Pleasant Hill is lucky to have y’all. Wish y’all would’ve been here 4 years ago when I moved to the area. Not sure how much longer I’ll be here. Good luck and thanks for...
