Harris Pizza #5 — Restaurant in Pleasant Valley Township

I'm rating this visit, and this visit alone, a 2. When we go to Harris Pizza, it's always for pizza, occasionally our daughter gets the Italian beef. Italian beef is, and always been, delicious. However, on this visit, my husband and I decided to split a spaghetti. There's a $2 difference between a regular dinner spaghetti, and a half spaghetti. Half doesn't come with salad, and I believe it doesn't come with breadsticks or garlic bread either. When the spaghetti came, I expected our server to have another bowl, that it had been split in the kitchen. There was no other bowl, this meager amount was it. Using my fork, I took some noodles (which aren't spaghetti noodles they're linguine noodles), my one forkful yielded almost the entire bowl. It was very reminiscent of a children's meal. The marinara was warm, not hot. It lacked something, having no real flavor profile to it. The bread sticks were okay, served plain. No melted butter over them when they came fresh from the oven, with a sprinkle of roasted garlic on top. Luckily for us, our daughter only ate half her Italian beef, so my husband and I split the half. I asked the server about the small portion size, and we talked about the half spaghetti vs the one we ordered. It had been awhile since I had a Harris pizza. I didn't care for their pizza the last time I ate it. So, I thought I would give Harris pizza a try again on 08/13/2017. I got a large half sausage and half pepperoni carry-out order at Harris Pizza #5 in Bettendorf, Iowa. The the service was alright. Just like the time before. I was dissatisfied and disappointed at the same time with the pizza. My main reason is because the crust was a doughy and soggy texture. I prefer a crisper crust. The taste was pretty much bland too, especially the sausage. Sorry to say, I will not be going back Harris Pizza again. Unfortunately, I ended up throwing half of the large pizza away. To be fair. Through my many years, I have tried many of the pizza places in the Quad Cities area to make my judgement and opinion. I have come to a conclusion. That Frank's Pizzeria in Silvis, Illinois is still my favorite pizza. This is my personal opinion, judgment, comment, and review. My intentions is to do no harm to anyone...

I have never experienced such rude service. Last 2 times I ordered 1 in person and 1 time over the phone the staff was very rude. I was told when calling to place an order last night at 7:42 I could only order pizza no wings because they had in their word 'closed down the line' this was 45 minutes before closing. They were very short and I felt like an inconvenience when I came in to pick up my order. I needed up ordering wings from pizza hut across the street. I will just use the other pizza places in Bettendorf like QC pizza downtown as they are always friendly and do not shut down early.
