Update: 1.10.25 Not sure what's going on, but portion size is again smaller than expected. Ordered medium soup, which was not generous. Suggest ordering large size, not much more money for a substantially larger portion. Surprisingly small amount of (inexpensive) flat noodles in the spicy drunken noodles. Added hot chili sauce this time to spice it up. Consistency is lacking in how the dishes are prepared and portion size. We hope this will change as our family had been enjoyed New Thai Bistro since they had increased portion size about a year ago. Servers are always polite, but difficult to find after order is taken and food is served. Would be great for them to stop by a couple times before bringing the check.

Update: 2.1.24 Great portion size now. We shared Pad See Yu & Spicy Drunken Noodles with tofu. Both were yummy. Serving platters are interesting & added flair to our meal. We really like the decor inside. Server was incredibly polite & friendly, attentive, but not overly so. Smiling at us & others - what a nice change! Highly recommend. 5 stars! Thank you

Update: Still too salty, but the papaya salad is always a winner. Server was very attentive & polite.

Great food, a bit too salty as with many Thai places. Decent portions, large soup could be more generous. Yellow curry was yummy, side of white rice $2. Papaya salad was interesting, fresh & a nice start to our meal. Servers were available for water refills, brought each dish out as soon as it was prepared. Much nicer inside than what you'd guess from the store front. Nicely decorated with plants, flowers, paintings, carvings, etc. Will go back, hopefully if less salty next time, I'll change...

Food is really great and prepared, served, and managed by a very friendly staff. The staff is easily overwhelmed during busy times, which could translate into long waits: waiting to get seated, waiting to place an order, waiting for the food to arrive.

Depending on your sensitivity to these frequent delays (and how hungry you happen to be while you're waiting!) this reality is either worth the wait or annoyingly unbearable. We've seen tables just take another sip of their drinks and power through while others angrily storm off, one-star Yelp ratings and scathing Local Guides reviews likely already queued up on their phones.

The Bangkok Dumplings are a tasty appetizer and the Mango Seven is a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage which is, methinks, 7-Up + fresh mango chunks + mint. You can't go wrong with any of the noodle dishes--perennial Thai favorites like Pad Thai or Lad See Ew are just-right portioned and lick-your-plate enjoyable.

The storefront can be a little hard to see as you turn off Valley Ave, but just look for the larger Perry's Liquors light-up sign, a long time landmark in this otherwise time-worn strip mall complex, and is easier to see when pulling into the parking lot.

As of this writing New Thai Bistro closes at 9pm each night, including weekends, so plan (or don't plan)...

Curry me up!!

Walked in after famishing ourselves on a 5 mi hike. Was ready to carb it up and ruin the perfect hike we just had. :P

Stared at the menu, decent amount of options.

PAPAYA SALAD $8.50 Thought whoa baby that is expensive for papaya salad but portions were HUGE! I wish there were more peanuts, citrus, and garlic, but it was OK.

GREEN CURRY: could eat this one all day. Generous portions, and great flavors.

PAD KEE MAO: surprised they didn't ask me spice level, I had to add more spice. I am EXTREMELY picky with this dish, kind of my baseline. What I look for, good wok flavor, good veggie/meat to noodle ratio. Thoughts? WAY too saucy. Noodles perfectly chewy. Didn't care for the squid, still tasted like squid. Shrimp was def boiled as opposed to wok fried. I would rather have this with chicken or pork.

SERVICE: nice staff, they definitely got busy, but kept our water filled.

RESTROOM: clean, but toilet doesn't work correctly. Have to hold the thing down for a LONGGGGGGGGG time to get it to flush. Oh and it could use a refresh of paint. Unfortunate because the restaurant itself is beautiful!

Overall a decent spot, but def gotta choose your dishes wisely.

For the 2 of us, with brown rice,...
