I really wanted to like this place. But they don't have any salsa in any kind of traditional sense, and this pretty much is a deal-breaker for me. Below, I will give a bullet point review of some of the items that we purchased in terms of just the food. But first, the salsa. I got take out, and I requested salsa and after I got home and put some of it onto my food I realized that it was similar to salad dressing, in its flavor profile. That is to say that it is very sweet and vinegary like a vinaigrette. Sweet and sour is just not a flavor that I want on tacos. And with my Mexican food I need to have some salsa. The tacos already had some acid so it was pretty overwhelming. The experience was bad enough for me that I did not eat them.
I called and asked if they had any salsa and I was told that they do not. Apparently there is pico de gallo but even though I requested salsa, I did not get any of that. So what this means is if I were to continue to take my business to this restaurant I would have to come home and use a jarred or canned salsa from the supermarket. So, under the circumstances, won't be back.
I would recommend to the restaurant that they consider carrying something like roasted chile or roasted tomato salsa. That would be great, but currently will not be going back.
People who like salads and salads might enjoy this restaurant. I was under the impression that there are a lot of specialty bowls and that the food is very fresh fresh. I saw other patrons with some really good looking entree bowls.

Read moreThey did a great job on the decor in this very intimate restaurant. The employee behind the bar was very knowledgeable about the wines and beers served, it was something that I found very impressive. The owners are very thoughtful, they're doing what they love and it shows! They took a great amount of time on their food and drink menus which aren't large and that's great because the staff can learn and perfect every item without being overwhelmed. I like how they can help you pair your dinner and drink selection for an individualized dinning experience.
This is a great place to stop in for a glass of wine, relax and watch the...
Read moreTried a burrito here on a whim - seems like more a Baja fish style cafe rather than a traditional taqueria. Awesome service very welcoming and friendly, and I got fresh jalepeños fried in my burrito as asked. Otherwise though, the burrito didn’t blow me away, tender pork but not a ton of flavor, a good amount of aioli (read: mayonnaise), and a LOT of rice. That was the main issue, every single bite was like eating a rice dish. Good brown rice to be sure, and it went well with the sauce, but it was like 80% of the burrito. Sorry gents no hidden meaning here, but I want a mouthful of meat...
