Had dinner there last night with friend from out of town, had been raving about this place ever since 3 months ago when had lunch there with several friends after that lunch my friend wanted to go back the next day we were so impresses however last night when I raved about it to another friend who was visiting we went first of all I am only writing this review because I want owner to know that we were not happy the waiter brought us some french bread that as so hard we were afraid our teeth were going to break in order to bite into it, we were starved and asked the waiter about it he said that it was because it was baked in the morning and got a little hard, WRONG! it was bread that was about a week old, instead of saying sorry he would try to bring us more he argued and said that was the way it was, the people next to us had just gotten their bread and we asked if it was hard as a rock and they said no, so we grabbed a bust boy and asked him if he would bring us some bread he did and it was fine. The worst part was the Chicken Marsalla that I had been dreaming about after the first time I had it 3 months earlier and was telling my friend she needed to order, I could tell when it was brought to me it was not the same it was floating in a watered down sauce that was over luck warm vegetables the Chicken did not tast like chicken it had an odd taste to it even the consistancy was off. Very disappointing. I was wondering if maybe you had a new shief??? I sure hope that this is not the case because I would love to come back but am a little reluctant if you have changed chiefs and this is the new normal, you really have a gold mind there please go back to they way it was...

Not sure what’s going on but their service just keeps getting worse. Too bad that this used to be one of our favourite restaurants.

We made a booking to celebrate my birthday. I saw when we checked in that it showed we booked a birthday meal (there was a green cake with candle icon next to my name) but there was absolutely no acknowledgment of this occasion. Service was curt, and I was especially taken aback when our server asked “is there a problem?” when my pizza came with Parmesan on it. There was no mention of Parmesan on the capricciosa pizza on the menu, and we’d requested our appetiser meatballs with Parmesan on the side, explaining I did not like Parmesan but my husband did. She said, “yes you asked for the meatballs to have Parmesan on the side, ok? Not the pizza.” And left. Lady, there was no mention of Parmesan being on the pizza on the menu. I’d told you I didn’t like it and didn’t want it on my meatballs, why would I want it on my pizza? How would I even know to request no Parmesan on the pizza when it’s not even written on the menu? We didn’t even send it back because of her attitude.

Such a shame. This place used to be so good, and the servers so kind. We used to love it as our special occasion restaurant.

They now add a liveable wage surcharge, and also set their suggested tips at 20-25% for lunch. I have nothing against tipping that for good service, but not even a birthday greeting or “how are you today?”nope, no way sorry. Sadly I’d have to think twice before...

Had come here with high hopes, but was very disappointed.

We came here on a Friday evening with a reservation.

We were seated on the patio. We asked for the host to get us another space heater because it was super cold that night, but they said they didn't have any more and forced 4 tables in the corner to share one. Since we were seated on the corner of the patio, service was EXTREMELY slow. It was very difficult to get the servers attention as well because there was no direct line of sight for that to happen. Our service experience didn't really improve from there either because the server seemed not at all interested in doing his job - we called him a couple of times when he was attending neighboring tables, and he said he would come back, but never did. The server also forgot to put in an order for one thing that we had ordered, to the point that we had to cancel the item at the end of our meal as it was never served to us.

We ordered the Arancini, the Ravioli & a Pizza (Capricciosa, without meat). The Arancini was the best dish of the day, with good flavour & texture, while the Pizza was the worst by a huge margin - floppy in the middle because it was very soggy because of the sauce and veggies on pizza. The food, all in all, was average at best (may be they were having a bad day) & I expected a lot more from a restaurant that trends more towards being a fine dine Italian restaurant than a casual eatery.

Don't think I would come...
