Had been here four times now, didn't post as POV, this place has great Greek and Turkish and Local winter selection. Feeling overpriced plates, everytime. My older gentleman's friend [Ukranian] place in the tri valley. Not mine, but I go. Variety of eastern European, Greek ( mousakja worth the 20m wait]. And the kabob is what he gets...problem? You say, x1 short kabob, chicken or lamb no beef. 26 plus for mostly rice and hummus. Warm pita bread. Unique early oil based dipping for warmed triangle sliced pita. The bill for 2 is always over 60, he sometimes get wine glass one or two. We keep returning, even though their are many other Main Street USA foreign choices here downtown, parking anywhere is always a challenge same servers and manager for years post covid. They keep on top all the time. Kudos for making service a star for sure. NOT to be mixed up with Italia-Mediteranian LOCANTA @end of south.main st same west side of street. This has barely c2 tables where Italia cafe has outside dinning in full. I'll go again, but I'm only getting ice tea as I feel the food is not worth over 19 each and no Lunch menu here...
Read moreService is great. Par with any high-end restaurant. Details can be noticed with clean tables.. utensils were nicely wrapped in clean clothing.
Presentation of meal is OK but can be improved. The grilled vegetables were overly done..and didn't reflect the true colors of the vegetables.
Grilled meat was on the Dry side.. overly cooked and not well marinated. Grill needs improvement...to preserve the juices and marinate time should be longer. Not enough flavor of sumac or other spices...hard to feel the aroma. Portions were generous and the meat quality was good 👍 but the cooking was average 😂
The Dip was good..on the Trio and is worth a try 😋
Wine selection is plenty to accommodate any budget with quality wines 🍷
Patios have Heaters to keep you warm if desired.
Staff is courteous with Hospitality attitude.
Have tried a couple of other Mediterranean restaurants in Tri- valley but still struggling for a better one.
So far this is not great but better than others around.
The menu on Web site needs to be updated as it still has old prices.
Enjoy and wait for my...
Read moreCame on a Wednesday eve. Restaurant was not busy. Server was attentive. Cocktails on the list were creative and interesting. Tried to order the pear mezcal cocktail with tequila instead of mezcal and was told the cocktails were pre-mixed so I couldn’t have that. Literally never heard of this in all my experience working in restaurants. $17 cocktails- not even made order. There was also a $13 “mocktail” with similar ingredients. Not sure why a bartender couldn’t make a drink..:. Server suggested a different drink, which was good. But the premade drinks didn’t arrive until we were almost finished with our appetizers so timing was off… Ordered the octopus, meatballs, and branzino. The octopus was ok. The meatballs didn’t have much flavor, sauce tasted like something out of a can. The branzino was so disappointing. Two thin soggy filets atop a bed of bland potatoes and soggy brussel sprouts- uninspired and...
