Some places don’t just feed you - they show up for you.
Dominick’s has been my go-to for years. But it’s more than just a pizza place. It’s the kind of hometown spot where they remember your name, your usual order, and the big moments happening in your life.
Frank, the owner, isn’t just slinging pies - he’s building community. He cheered me on as my Altomonte’s book came together, asked about my latest projects, and even gifted us cannoli when my partner Aaron passed his captain check ride. That kind of support? You don’t forget it.
The food? Always on point. The pizza is perfect - thin-crusted, loaded with flavor, and never skimps on the good stuff. Their sandwiches, pastas, and salads are solid, too. But those cannoli? Let’s just say they come with a side of joy.
There’s something comforting about knowing this place is always here. Whether I’m racing between projects, wrangling two high-energy Labs, or celebrating something big - Dominick’s is the first place I think of when I want good food made by even better people.
Pro tip: Try the white pizza with spinach and garlic - it’s a slice of heaven. And if Frank’s behind the counter, tell him thanks for being one of the good ones. Thank you Frank and all...
Read moreThis is my go-to football restaurant for wings. They serve some tasty wings here. But we have ordered other food from the menu and they have been decent too. I had a cheese steak sandwich and we had half now and half later. I was thinking ahead and got sauce on the side which helped the sandwich survive for a few hours in the fridge. So definitely a good place for the lunch/dinner meal split
We help out locally here (at the local school across the street) and this became our go-to dinner. We definitely enjoyed the variety of pizza available here. They did help us with an order when we got a pizza that wasn't made right or something else just happened. They offered us a refund or replacement. Can't say too many places do that anymore.
Looking for the next football game, so I'll be sneaking out and getting the wings...
Read moreEverything I've had has been very good to great. That probably explains the high traffic and nonstop staff. At busy times there's one guy who does nothing but pizzas. Cooking staff goes nonstop too. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, there's a problem. The facility is pretty old and looks like it hasn't been maintained since it opened. It's very dirty. There are bare fluorescent fixtures with bulbs burned out for a long time, judging by the accumulation of spider webs. Dust and greasy dirt on walls and ceiling everywhere. It would not surprise me that potential customers have walked in, looked around for a few seconds and high-tailed out immediately. They REALLY need to close for two weeks to clean from top to bottom, repair what's broken, and paint. As-is, the state of the restaurant is doing...
