It took an HOUR to get our complete order. We arrived at 8:30 and didn't leave until 10. This was the worst fast food experience I've ever had. Ever. I wish I was being dramatic, but I'm not. For background, I'm normally a DQ fanatic. It's often my favorite fast food choice, but I was extremely let down with this location. I placed my order online to be picked up inside because I was in an antisocial mood. I ordered the 6-piece chicken strip basket with fries and two gravies (my partner and I were planning on splitting this; keep note of this for later), 2 chili cheese dogs, a kids chicken tender meal, two blizzards, and a soda. The mobile app said our food would be ready at 8:45. I walked in and waited an extra 10-15 minutes before anyone came to help me. They served about 10 new orders for ice cream as they walked in before helping me. I was then told that the order wasn't ready yet and it would be a little bit. I thanked them and watched as they started the order. Another 15 minutes later, I finally had my food. I brought everything out to the car, and we all started eating. I didn't get both of the gravies, so I went back in to ask for another. They got me another and I went back outside. When I tried dipping my chicken in it, it was cold and congealed. My partner also noted that there were only 4 chicken tenders. Since we were sharing, I opted to go back in and mention it. I asked them if they could get me two more chicken tenders and warm up the gravy. They apologized and said they'd make me the missing chicken from the order. They immediately warmed up the gravy, and I waited 20-30 minutes (I swear I'm not making this up) for the chicken while the employees all gave me the side eye without asking me what I was waiting for. Finally, someone asked, and I got my chicken. Of course, by the time I got back outside, the rest of my food was cold, the ice cream was melted, and the warmed up gravy was still the wrong, gross texture. To top things off, the hot dog was pathetically covered with chili and the toast wasn't cut in triangles (triangles always taste better, and it's a DQ signature with their toast). We ate quickly and finally left at 10 pm.

I do not write many reviews but please find a different DQ location and avoid going to this one. I have given this location several chances and each time I go there, I am very disappointed with the customer service and quality of the food. I will not be going back after my experience today. I went through the drive thru. I got there at about 7:00 pm. It took 45-50 minutes to place my order and leave. There were only about 10 cars in front of me. Once I was at the front of the line, the cashier asked me to pay $27. And I said “what do you mean? I just got to the window? I haven’t even placed my order”. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed to go inside and place my order or come back around and get back in the drive thru line. I was very confused as to why he asked me to do that when I had literally just gotten to the window. After placing my order of 2 hot fudge sundaes, the cashier carefully handed me the sundaes so that they would not drip. It didn’t even look like a sundae. It was completely melted when he handed them to me. At this point, I did not care to complain about the sundaes because I had already waited almost an hour in line. You are better off spending your money at Culver’s or a local ice cream parlor for dessert!

Literally the worst Dairy Queen ever. I had a royal mini cheesecake blizzard and asked for EXTRA cheesecake. I asked the employee, Melissa, if there was EXTRA cheesecake in my mini blizzard. She said that it should be in there, but I asked my significant other and there definitely was not. She offered to remake it with EXTRA cheesecake and took about 8 minutes until she gave me a new one. I mixed my blizzard and there was NO cheesecake at all in the blizzard. It was just grahams blended with ice cream, not even the strawberry was in there. This is just ridiculous. Doesn’t even deserve a star at all.

I purchased 4 gift cards for my nieces and nephews last fall, which they were not able to use due to never having been activated. Fast forward several months and numerous calls later to the 800 number on the gift cards, this store, and later with a woman who told me that she was the new regional director of operations for the region, and I still have not received replacement gift cards (which I was recently told twice were finally mailed - months later, but it has now been well over a week since I was told this and I still do not have those, either). Neither this store nor Dairy Queen corporate have been helpful thus far in resolving this. I cannot resolve through my credit card company since they were gift cards and not product purchased.

*Edited to add: I just received both the gift cards sent by the local Dairy Queen (4 to replace the 4 I spent so much of my time trying to recover) as well as an additional 9 (an amount that feels more respectful of the effort spent in addition to initial money lost) sent by the woman from corporate who I'd spoken with who happened to be at the local Dairy Queen the day I stopped. This took over two weeks to get to me, so I'm not sure why the delay (perhaps USPS?), but I just wanted to come back to report that they did ultimately arrive.

Regarding the response from corporate, below: I DID call corporate headquarters just prior to posting this and decided to post when the response from corporate was that they would submit my complaint and someone would get back to me, but it was also noted that if I didn't hear back in a week I should try calling back again. I called WAY too many times already (to the local store I purchased them from) to be told once again that I should be the one responsible for calling back and not someone from DQ responsible for reimbursing me for money taken months prior without product rendered (an issue confirmed by Dairy Queen early on yet not rectified). In any case, the issue is finally resolved. Keeping my 1 star review, because I wasted a lot of my...

I am absolutely appalled by their ASMs customer service. I ordered a meal and a small blizzard. They made the blizzard, set it on the counter for FIVE MINUTES while I stared at it, watching it melt. When they finally handed it to me, I asked her to do the flip. SHE REFUSED SAYING ALL THE ICECREAM WAS COMING OUT MELTED! 🫠

No, you made the product knowing the kitchen was hot, didn't hand it to me right away, and let it sit and melt.

I left and called the store, and the ASMs name is Alasia, made multiple excuses and then proceeded to tell me to call corporate if I had an issue.

I called corporate, and they didn't do anything. In short, this location is poorly run. It is not the customers fault or problem it's hot outside. You serve ice cream, which is expected to be cold and barely melted when handed to the customer. I get it starts melting right away, but that is no excuse for letting it sit.

Do better. Stop making excuses and false apologies. Make the situation right to the best of your ability, and if you can't help the customer, let them know who will because calling corporate is a waste of time.

By the way, no, I don't want a replacement at this point. Why would I want to go back there to be treated so poorly by a staff member who clearly hates her position?

Any generic responses about 'trying again' is a...
