Honestly, since this location remodeled, their grocery department is a complete joke. Every day it's a new item that they either suddenly stopped carrying, or they are " temporarily out of stock." Keep in mind I regularly go to this store after 4 PM which is a busy time for people trying to pick up a few things on the way home.
I realize I'm one of the last remaining humans that knows how to make his own bread from scratch, but this store has been "out of" bread flour ever since the remodel a year ago. Every time I ask your staff they look at me dumbfounded as to what bread flour actually is, and several have asked me why I dont just buy regular flour. By now I've effectively educated most of your staff as to what makes bread flour different from regular flour. Keep in mind your company is based in the same state as several flour companies. I dont understand this!
But that's a small complaint, why am I so salty? Like a good infomercial: BUT WAIT! THERES MORE!
Because this store does things like no longer carrying many of the specialty cheeses we have purchased for years now. Want a 7 dollar block of Cabot white cheddar? Sorry, we only have random flavors like mango habanero or tomato and basil. Used to carry lots of Cracker Barrel cheeses too, but they're nowhere to be found. Want some gouda? Literally, any brand will do. But, alas. Out of them again.
Their drink section is constantly out of stock of several flavors of iced tea at a time, and if you see bottled water at all: it's your lucky fay. Pure Leaf iced tea... peach? Nah. Dont even have unsweetened or lemon on the shelves. Too busy pushing the new Hibiscus flavor that, clearly, no one is buying based on the seventeen cases starting to collect dust.
Want any pre sliced veggies or fruit? Or hell, even uncut carrots or celery? Sorry, we are out of that too. To top this all off, it's basically impossible to navigate the aisles, and whoever does your purchasing and stocking of your store, either doesn't know what they are doing, or they've got an even more inept boss.
I wish I could say I would be visiting your grocery department in the future, but today was the last straw. Because I found every single one of these things at Cub. Never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been shopping at the Plymouth location for years and it usually was a pleasant experience, until the other day. I stopped in to grab a few things the other afternoon, and as I prepared to check out I was approached by a team member asking if he could help me find anything, and as a former Target employee, I know that is what they are taught to approach potential thief suspects. I thought it was strange, but allowed him to help me find someone to ring me up. I then paid for my items and as I walked towards the door I noticed a clothed asset protection employee walking towards me and a plain clothed asset protection employee coming from another direction heading towards my way. I noticed the clothed individual make eye contact with the plain clothed individual signally that things were āclearā. The clothed asset protection person then āpolitelyā thanked me for shopping that day, which again was odd as an avid Target shopper. Asset protection has never āThanked meā for shopping unless they were by the door when I leave my shopping cart before heading out.
With all that, I could then tell that I had been watched as I shopped that day. Iām not sure what actions I took to cause them to watch me that day, but it has now made me very uncomfortable to go back to that location. As many times as I have shopped at that location, I have never done anything to warrant the actions they took that day. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a great Target. Friendly workers and great place! Self check out lines at both ends of the check out area. Very nice cashiers, great environment. The renovations all look great. There have been very few times that I had a long wait, even on super crazy days they still manage to minimize check out times as much as possible.
It's horrible when someone has 100 great experiences at a place but give it a low rating because of one bad experience or one inconvenience. This is a great store & Target location, don't listen to those ratings. I have been here thousands of times and can't think of a negative experience I had that wasn't of my own doing or bad attitude.
2020 update: they now offer pick up / drive up for refrigerated & frozen items. This location has done a lot to stay clean and safe.
2021 & 2022 update: Drive up pick up was changed to entrance closer to 494 which was an excellent choice to reduce congestion at main entrance. Number of parking spots for it has expanded greatly too in newly remodeled section. Drive up can have long waits during peak times but the majority of the time is very quick and such a great service.
2023 update: still great, usually has fairly low prices for most grocery items compared to nearby options, occasionally struggles with keeping certain...
