We came to India Palace Plymouth for their lunch buffet - it's a gem! As soon as we entered, our group of four was stunned by the ambience which features a beautiful and clean interior adorned with classical Indian paintings. Coupled with the food, our visit felt like a journey through the flavors and aromas of India.
Foodwise, the star of the show is the dry beef, which is hard to come by at Indian restaurants. The beef is marinated in a rich blend of spices and cooked with precision, leading to a melt-in-your-mouth experience which is hard to come by. The Tandoori chicken hit the spot. It's not too spicy and was piping hot. I loved how the roasted onions that garnish the chicken provided a boost of umami flavor. samosa appetizers were also outstanding
The naan bread is a testament to the culinary prowess of their chefs. The variety is impressive, ranging from the classic Garlic Naan, rich and aromatic, to the decadent Peshawari Naan, stuffed with nuts and raisins, offering a delightful contrast of flavors and textures. Each naan is baked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior that complements the entrees perfectly.
Also inspiring are the condiments. Each condiment, from the tangy mint chutney to the sweet and spicy mango pickle, is crafted to enhance the flavors of the dishes, adding layers of complexity and depth that elevate the dining experience to new heights.
Service at India Palace is nothing short of excellent. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome, providing recommendations and insights into the menu that enhance your meal. Their attention to detail and genuine care for the dining experience make a significant difference, contributing to an atmosphere that is warm...
Read moreI was okay paying the $50, but this was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely disgusting—completely bland, flavorless, and poorly made. We specifically asked for mild, but it ended up tasting like nothing at all. There was no seasoning, no spice, no taste—just dull and disappointing. It was honestly hard to even eat it.
When we brought this up, the owner was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of listening to our concerns, he immediately responded with attitude and said, “You ate 50% of the food,” which wasn’t true at all. I even attached pictures showing that I barely touched the food. He wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say as a paying customer. He was passive, condescending, and completely unprofessional.
The manager raised his voice, was aggressive, and made the whole situation very uncomfortable. There was no offer to make things right, no apology—just pure disrespect. The rest of the staff wasn’t any better, and the overall customer service was terrible.
Never coming back here again. I don’t recommend this place to anyone—bad food, worse service, and absolutely no respect...
Read moreWent to the restaurant a little bit after 8PM. Place was open until 10. After I was seated they started putting up all the chairs around me. I ordered. It took a long time to just get a glass of water. I ordered tea as well, took forever. I asked for a 2nd glass and it took 15 minutes. I actually had to walk back to the kitchen area and ask about it. I was told "we are still microwaving it" What?
Then some guys from outside started dragging in a blue hose, apparently were going to do some carpet cleaning. Restaurant should have closed early for this, or at least informed guests.
Again no one was around when I was finished and ready to pay. I went up to the register (most India palaces will bring you a bill then take your card) and stood around, and eventually I rang the bell. Server showed up, I asked for my bill. He said he wasn't going to give me my bill until I paid. How does that even make sense. He just thought I should hand over my credit card and he would be allowed to charge me whatever he wanted and only then...
