I never make it a priority to leave a review on the day we experience something, however I’m making an exception today. We grabbed an impromptu lunch at Sunshine Factory Bar & Grill after friends recommended we try it since we were in the area. With it being Memorial Weekend it was easy to get a table at 1:30PM. There were plenty of other people there, it just wasn’t as crowded as I imagine it would be on a regular Sunday. We had the option of dining inside or on their patio and we opted for inside. It was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Wendy was our server and she was attentive and knowledgeable. We had many questions about the menu and she was happy to help. We ordered the white cheddar cheese curds for an appetizer - by far the BEST curds we’ve ever had! We then ordered two meals (5 Alarm burger with coleslaw and the Cobb salad) and mentioned that we were going to share them. Wendy took the initiative to bring us extra plates to make portioning out the meals easier. We share meals nearly every time we dine out and have never had a server bring us extra plates without asking. Hey - it’s the little things! The burger was crazy amazing…. they use a blend of chuck and brisket - uffff! We asked for medium and the patty was definitely more of a medium-well but it was still juicy and packed with flavor. The coleslaw was good too and did a great job of cutting a bit of the heat from the Buffalo sauce and jalapeños that came on the burger. I can’t tell you much about the Cobb salad as of yet because we were so stuffed from the curds and burger that we ended bringing the salad home. With that said, I did taste test the blue cheese dressing that we ordered with the salad and dang - you can tell it must be homemade. So good!!
The food is an easy 5 stars. The service is an easy 5 stars. The pricing was as expected for a restaurant in this category. Overall 5 stars!!
It’s not very often that we find a restaurant that we feel is worth the drive down (we live a hour north of the cities) but this is definitely one of those rare occasions. We will absolutely be back and we are looking forward to working our way through the rest of the menu. We sure hope Wendy will...
Read moreGood food, great service, fun menu. I will have to go back and try a few of the menu items. They also have happy hour food and drink specials. Looks like a great place to watch a game.
Came back on 5/22/19 at 1:45. A person in our group wanted onion rings and happy hour started at 2:00. The waitress refused to give her the happy hour price. From my viewpoint she was an unfriendly waitress. She appeared really short. We are going to end up spending money on 3 entrees and drinks. Yet she decides that she wants dash an additional sale and damage her tip for a few dollars. This will likely be my last visit. Management needs to do a better job with training staff about customer satisfaction and gaining repeat business. Check my watch photo, I wonder if we can get happy hour prices now????? The food was pretty good according to the crew. As the "boss" paying, I hoped everyone was happy. I had the raspberry chicken salad, which was fresh and great! Could not finish it. Just wish our server Amber P. had a better bedside manner. I hope to not do business with her again.
Came back December 2020 during the COVID- 19 outbreak after receiving an email about the revised hours and specials.
Always willing to offer a second chance - America is the land of second chances after all....
I ordered the walleye dinner for curbside pick-up and I was wonderfully amazed at the pick up methodology, the service and the quality of food.
I am a big fan of the Wednesday evening walleye dinner now, having gone back several times.
The last time I also ordered a mushroom burger - it was cooked perfectly, the size was tremendous and once again the pickup service was on point.
I am now a raving fan - keep up the great...
Read moreAfter reading a such wonderful reviews about this place, 9 of my family members went there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Since I got there before everyone else and setting at the entrance for 30 minutes, about 3 people, 2 women and a guy was chatting but never greeted me like I was invisible.
I think Waitress name was Sherri whose service us, at the beginning she was okay but when more people filled up in that room, she couldn’t hide her feelings and showed how rude she was.
We were very impressed how 9 of us dinner got service same time, but my 14 year old nephew’s burger was too raw so he asked waitress he was wondering he can have what I was having, shrimp scampi.
Waitress told us that will take some time to cook but they can cook his burger backHe waited at least 10 minutes.
Then later I’ve noticed she was bringing to go box and I asked for one, and noticed her attitude like she didn’t say, sure, yes or no. I asked families what was going on with her, they told me I’m the 3rd person asked about togo box.
If that was the case, she should ask everyone else when first time someone asked for it, like everywhere else does.
This coming Saturday we were deciding where to go for my birthday dinner, since most of us loved our dinner so we wanted go back, but you guys needs some working on friendliness...
