Unfortunately I had a bad experience with a staff member when trying to return an item I had just purchased. Unfortunately I had lost the tag and receipt. I have had this happen once and the staff were able to help me. The item I was returning were a pair of leggings that I put on once and realize, less than an hour of wearing them, there was a hole near the seam in a private area. I quickly took the leggings off and discovered the fabric near the thighs and crouch area was extremely worn down. It’s upsetting that TJ Maxx would be selling very worn down fabric and not checking the clothes quality in the rack. After explaining this to the staff member she insinuated that I had big thighs and that’s what happens when you consistently wear leggings. Again, only put on once for less than an hour. Also she stated there was no way a staff at TJ Maxx could have returned a past purchase of mine without a receipt/tag. When I was confused how she was explaining their system, she turned around the screen and aggressively poked the screen with her finger as though I was dumb and blind. I have shopped at TJ Maxx for a long time but now I am questioning the quality of the clothes. I definitely will not be shopping at the Plymouth location. If the staff member would have been calm and respectful while explaining why they could not help me on their end, I would have understood. One of the best things I just found there Super Target was out, was herbs de Provence. They had it in a bigger jar for less money. I love their fancy food section and they always have new products constantly. Plus a shout out to their checkout people. Never have I had a bad experience. They are always nice and always friendly. 👍 To me that is very important. I go at least once a month as the selection always changes. I can't wait till they have the dressing room open so you can try things on but they're very easy to return if you have something that doesn't fit. When I asked an associate for help finding an item to exchange, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful answers. The associate was incredibly rude and scoffed at my questions, making it clear she had no interest in assisting me. ​I have been coming here for years and never have been treated this way, I have received help before from the manager who even went above and beyond to bring me a bag that was left at the counter when I had my newborn child with me and did not want to have to bring her back in the store, which is why I was so taken aback at how I was treated today.
