I came to The location on Ann Arbor Rd. in Plymouth because I had assumed that this was a good bagel place around the area but It was not what I expected. Don’t get me wrong. I understand having to work in the morning, but everyone seem like such a snot and I felt the farthest thing from welcoming. I wasn’t looking to get greeted, but I also didn’t anticipate on every single person staring at me the whole time before I ordered to the point to when I ordered. I had to repeat my order five times and the order was still wrong. For as expensive as four bagels came out to be, which was $25. I would at least expected there to be the cream cheese that I ordered on my bagels. I was biting into my bagel and I felt like I was eating pure bread and chunks of butter, which I did ask for, but they didn’t bother spreading it and they put barely any cream cheese on the bagels mind you the bagels are five dollars apiece. The least you can do is put on what people order. I also ordered a coffee, but I never got a coffee cup but when I did ask for one, the immediate response was well did you pay for coffee? Would I be asking you for a coffee cup if I didn’t pay for coffee. When my order was ready, nobody told me everyone knew that it was ready, but no one bothered to let me know which was on super annoying because I didn’t feel comfortable. Just grabbing anyone’s food. The whole experience was just super weird and I truly felt like I just wasted $25 when I had been looking forward to coming here. Never coming back to this location never had a problem at...
Read moreI came close to giving this restaurant a failing mark. My mother and me were about to head out on a vacation and we decided to grab some lunch to go (this restaurant has a drive-thru). The first thing we noticed was the condition of the parking lot, which seemed a little crumbly and worn. This doesn't detract a whole lot from the rest of the property, with the restaurant itself looking very appealing and roomy.
One might think that taking an order for a drive-thru establishment would be speedy. Not in this case--it took far longer than usual for our orders at the window (a little under 5 minutes), and I could see other cars waiting behind us. When we finally got our food (I ordered a Southwestern Turkey & Sausage eggwhite thin bread sandwich, while my mother had a similar sandwich), I saw that my order had been messed up (there was salsa and cream cheese in my food [which also was put together lazily], which I did not want, and there was a bag of chips we did not want), so we went by the drive-thru window again, waiting for all the other cars in the process.
When we got to the window, we discussed the issues, and the workers there issued us both sincere apologies. In addition to fixing our orders, they gave us a free chocolate chip muffin, which was a pretty good make-up. All the food after that ordeal was rather tasty, but if there's one thing I can comment on, it is that this place has much needed room for...
Read morel ordered online the two dozen bagels & shmear. Did not get what the description said I would get & instead nearly half of the order was a bunch of the bagels they clearly have a hard time selling (ancient grain, pumpernickel, etc). It was supposed to be a treat for my coworkers because I love them and we've all been working hard. Nobody was interested in the pumpernickels or ancient grains and whatever the other unlisted ones were. overall it was an embarrassing waste.
Called same day was told manager would call back in an hour. Waited 48 hours with no contact from them, called back. Spoke to a Hillary, who basically confirms that she's aware of what the website says but if they don't have the bagels they don't have the bagels. Says if I want specific bagels I should call ahead, as if I am supposed to know this. Says I can come pick up some bagels if I want to, and even after I tell her that the location is not convenient for me to get to (it's 40 min from home and even further from my work) & that I just happened to be out there for an appt that day that's all she's willing to offer. If they know what the website says and they can't provide what the description says, y'know what I paid for, it should be on them to contact me and advise me of such before starting my order.
Lesson learned, I guess. I will not order from Einstein bagels again. I'll just contact corporate...
