As my first time expircence at lee's famous chicken, it was a very mixed feeling. The first thing i noticed was how small the place is, which in my eyes I see nothing wrong with that. But I arrived around lunch hour and it was extremely loud inside the small lobby. I tried to get my order taken but there was 2 men talking so loud behind me it made it impossible to hear my own thoughts. I told the cashier I couldn't hear anything and she did nothing about it, so unfortunately I had to take control of the situation and ask the men to stop yelling in my ear behind me. Besides that I won't let it take away my business I will return for the food again. I ordered one of the combos. The chicken was stunningly big for the price which made my day to know I didn't get ripped off. The taste was just as exceptional. It tastes fresh and not too greasy but not dry the chicken was nice and tender. The biscuit was average nothing spectacular but it was still good I ate it. The mac and cheese and was delicious. And last but not least the potato wedges were to die for they were so good I wanted to turn around and get a bunch more! I don't know how they do it but they make it taste amazing maybe it's the type of seasoning I don't know but you definitely have to try it. They do have desserts and they also have a unique selection of sauces that I've never seen before at a affordable price. There's different combo options and even individual options for items even if it's just one piece of chicken you can get that too. this is a good place to go it is affordable and it tastes good I highly recommend this place. Next time I go there I will take pictures and post them I...
Read moreLittle Update: My family & I have returned here many times over the years since my original post. Every single visit here has been fantastic & as always the employees, service, & food are all phenomenal!! Thank you Lee’s!!
My family & I love this place!! We’ve been coming here since 2014. For the first time ever at this place, my order was wrong. It wasn’t a big deal though & I wasn’t upset because I know things happen. (I work in customer service too & previously owned my own business in the food industry. Things happen & that is okay.) I called & told them what happened. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite, professional, & perfect. She offered two solutions, a partial refund or I could come back & pick up the corrected order. I came back for the corrected order of course, because my children & I LOVE the food here! My order was fresh, hot & ready for me when I got there to pick it up. I didn’t have to wait in line. It was quick & easy. I am so beyond impressed & satisfied with how smooth they took care of my order. The quality & taste of the food is always great! The food is always hot & fresh! The employees are fantastic! The service is amazing! This establishment is always extremely clean! It’s a nice break for me because my children usually prefer my home cooked meals instead of take out or going to a restaurant, but thankfully they absolutely love Lee’s Chicken! Saves me from cooking sometimes when I’m too tired & I highly appreciate the break! Great job Lee’s!! Thank you so much!! My family & I will be...
Read moreA large, work-related pick up order (400 pieces plus sides) gave Lee's Chicken a chance to strut it's stuff for a ton of us. Everyone seemed to be licking their chops in anticipation. Someone shared the place's back story with me. Lee's is owned and operated by direct descendants of KFC's founder. Yep, Colonel Sanders Himself. Was this urban myth, I wondered. One bite made me a believer. Taste-wise and texturally (semi-crisp, pillowy breading), Lee's chicken is undeniably akin to what I remember plucking from a bucket when I was a boy. Back then- before KFC corporate and co-branding with other conglomerate cuisine- that fried chicken just seemed to be cooked with a little more TLC. And that's what Lee's chicken still tastes like: a lip-smackin' blend of secret herbs and spices fried right by folks who still give a darn about the product they're putting their name on. This bird's savory, not just salty, and when sidled up to some steady go-withs (bacon-scented green beans, crumbly country biscuits, rib-stickin' Mac & Cheese and such), it all makes for a country picnic somewhere down and around the Memory Lane in all of us. That's what Lee's did for me: remind me of a time when I believed a little old Southern gentleman in a white suit and goatee was cookin' up somethin' special, just for me. Kudos, folks, for fixin' up a family feast on short notice for me and 199 of my Monday through Friday family. You all are definitely doing what you should be doing for a...
