Walking into Butter Burrs, it looked like a decent spot. The menu was not very detailed, so we asked the cashier for recommendations. She was new and did her best, but the two blonde girls making the drinks were rude to her, rude to another worker, and even bickered in front of customers. It created a tense and unprofessional atmosphere.
The drinks were the worst part. One Italian soda came overflowing with whipped cream and sticky liquid running down the sides. When I asked them to fix it, they tried dumping it into a random oversized container that would not even fit in a cup holder. Then they split it into two half-empty cups filled mostly with whipped cream. I had to insist they completely remake it, which they only did with attitude.
The Lime Rickey was just as bad. Instead of following the recipe with Sprite, they used grape juice, so it did not even taste right. On top of that, they barely added any ice. There were probably only three cubes, so it was warm and flat.
This was a to-go order, and we were waiting forever for it. We could see our food sitting there on the counter for about ten minutes before anyone finally bagged it up and handed it over. By then, it was cold.
When I finally asked for a refund because the whole experience had been so frustrating, they told me they could not do that and that they did not even know how. Staff should absolutely be trained on how to handle something as simple as a refund.
I honestly hate leaving horrible reviews. I always try to find the best in places and give people the benefit of the doubt, but this was really hard. In the end, we left with cold food, terrible drinks, and a very negative impression. Between the hostility, the lack of care with making drinks, and the complete inability to handle a refund, we will not be back. Management really needs to retrain staff if they want...
Read moreIts amazing to me how this place is still open for business, every time I go there, there’s always something wrong with my order. This time I went through the drive thru and ordered a Cobb salad, I get to the window to pay for my salad and the girl asks me if I would like crackers and utensils, I said I would like utensils and it wasn’t but 2 seconds later she says to me that their out of forks and napkins!!!!. Why ask me if a wanted utensils if their out? This place needs better management, their is absolutely no reason for a restaurant that offers a drive thru service to run out of forks and napkins. And here’s the kicker, I had to go across the street to Taco Bell to get a fork and napkins to eat my lunch , when I opened the salad container with my Cobb salad inside , there was absolutely No avocados on the salad which were stated on the ingredients in the menu!! They must have been out of Avocados too!!!! Terrible customer...
Read moreWe visited your drive-through this evening Wednesday, January 27 at approximately 7:30 PM we moved from Pocatello two years ago after living there for 34 years. Butterburrs has always been one of our go to restaurants in Pocatello for the entire time we have lived there. In the past we have also enjoyed your drive-through restaurant lickety-split on Yellowstone we were thoroughly disappointed and realized that the service and food have definitely gone downhill. The service was very very slow to get our food. The sandwich was OK. The soup was good however, for our treat we got the raspberry twist and were thoroughly disappointed. These were just not day. They were literally a couple of days old likely made on Monday . They were hard and had a definite stale to moldy taste to them. It’s sad for such a long term staple of Pocatello to have gone downhill like this. Unfortunately, we would never go back...
