I was all ready to write a scathing review about my recent visit to this wendy's....I was trying to break our of my dollar burger rut...and trying the higher end food on the menus since I can hardly stand the thought of fast food anymore...So I was trying to figure out what was what, and must have exceeded their allotted order time, because she kept asking Is there anything else you need to order....Well yes it takes a minute when your trying new things... So I asked the young lady taking my order what was on this or that as far as condiments. I asked about one specialty sandwich and she said "the same thing that's on the regular one....". so I had to ask what was on the regular one....So when I finally decided to go with a specialty chicken sandwich I asked what came on that and she didn't mention the two things I usually leave off so I asked if it had onion...she said no...I asked about tomato...she said yes...I said No tomato please...Well low and behold...when we got to the window to pay, the voice on the other end of the box was a manger....They quickly took our money and handed us our order....and off we went...Well guess what..was on my sandwich... Tomato...I took it off since we where in a hurry, and along with it came all the special sauce....The chicken was OK a little tough and stringy about half way through...Before trashing them here I decided to call and give them a chance at redemption...I believe it was the same manager answered the phone and was very sympathetic to my plight...she offered to refund my money if I wanted to return...or offered to send a coupon for a combo meal. I decided to give them a chance and take the coupon...I'll probably put it in my wallet and forget about it till it expires...but that's my bad...she also said she would check the chicken remaining and make sure it was thoroughly cooked and not too old, I thought she handled the situation really well. I'm giving them 4 stars since the rest of the order was ok...but if I don't get a coupon I may have to return for an edit....She handled my complaint well and for that I...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Wendy's, in Pocatello, Idaho (929 Yellowstone), a little before 7:00 pm tonight. A manager was pulling a drawer from a cash register and never looked up or even acknowledge we were standing there. We stood there for several minutes and she never even looked our way. We were actually about to walk out when another employee finally came up and took our order. She didn't have much customer service either. I have been in customer service pretty much all of my adult life, from waitress to assistant manager. Believe me when I say there was absolutely no customer service here tonight. A young man behind the counter, getting orders together, had his hair down, hanging in his face and he was chewing on it. There were quite a few open tables and we had to hunt to find the least dirty one to sit at. Every garbage was overflowing. I am not one to look for things to leave a bad review about and I will most assuredly write a good one before I write a bad, but tonight was just not okay. The food was good, but they really need some help in the other department. I doubt that I will be back to that location. Luckily we have one in Chubbuck that I can stop in to when I feel...
Read moreWe'd been traveling all day and still had a ways to go and really, really wanted a frosty. We got here 20 minutes before closing and we're told they'd already shut the frosty machine down because they were trying to close up.
I understand the enployees are probably being paid minimum wage and want to get home soon, but Wendy's is primarily known for the frosties. It's REALLY disappointing to show up 20 minutes before closing and find there were no frosties because the employees had shut the machine down early.
Even more unfortunately, the rest of the food was prepared with the same level of care - my chicken wrap was thrown together slapdash, came apart immediately, and did not seem to have sauce on it, plus the fries were both burned and oversalted.
Again, I want to be compassionate to employees who are probably not being paid very much and who are working at nearly 11PM, but it was an extremely disappointing experience. Hopefully the employees will be paid to take care of closing tasks after closing, so they can pay attention to food preparation when open, and travellers can get the meal...
