First visit to Kin Asian Street food came from a recommendation. Located in Pompano Beach, south of Atlantic BLVD, east of Dixie on 6th st in this tiny plaza you’ll find this quaint restaurant.
Arrived post lunch rush, it wasn’t busy. Only two other guests(ladies) finishing up their meal at the counter bar. My friends and I self seated in the middle at a table started off with waters and some famous bubble tea. Bubble tea is a fin drink, my one friend never got it; was obsessed after and loved the Taro flavor. I enjoyed a taro bubble tea as & left with a second one flavored Milk Tea, both enjoyed to the end.
Started out with small bites; BBQ Pork Buns- steamed bun w sweet pork filling. Thai Chicken Wings -Super Crispy wings Southern style served with fried shallots. Also tried the Sriracha Bao buns, same but bigger and spicier. Followed with a simple Tuna roll that was fresh tasting, rolled well and presented beautifully. (i accentuate this sushi roll cause I’m reminded of my simple roll at komodo and it sucked.)
We finished our meals with some Japanese Ramen which I highly recommend coming to get. My friends went with Spicy Kimchee Ramen w pork and I went spicy Miso Ramen w pork rib. So effin good. Was able to leave some and had the following day, loved it all over again.
I’m already going back to this place over and over again. Many more menu options I want to try. The food is done really well, menu has solid choices. Online doesn’t show sushi, but sushi is served here. $20 minimum for delivery and closed on Tuesdays.
Only reason I didn’t give this place five stars and I will eventually on another visit. I definitely think everyone should go. I also know what it’s like when you’re working and your burnt out. This place was empty, and for the culture usually you always feel welcomed in their place. I felt like a teenager again, and somehow was bothering them. No we’re not rude, obnoxious , I don’t roll out that way. But just try to be more aware of body language you feed off to guest. Place was empty and i had to get a up a few times to ask for things, because they were doing computer work. No hard feelings ever. I’m not here to hate, rather to acknowledge and share experiences. Can’t...
Read morewe love this place!! vegan friendly and soooo good! both veg ramen options that can be made vegan (with no egg) are deLICIOUS, and even the bamboo shoots & mushrooms are tender rather than too chewy to eat. my partner and i had our first date here and have come back many times since, usually for eating in but also for take out, and today for our 2 year anniversary!
we get the seaweed salad, sweet potato tempura sushi roll with avocado, a ramen bowl (either kimchee or spicy miso), pad woonsen no egg, and we learned to get their deliciously sweet boba teas to go. i get the hibiscus with passionfruit, minus the fruit chews, and love the real passionfruit seeds in there bc i still get something to crunch on. my partner got the lychee milk tea today with oat milk and it was sooooo good. he’s had the mango tea as well and that’s also been great.
their service is always wonderful, the covid era sneeze guards are still attached to the tables which actually gives a bit of privacy in such a small place, and their take out service is SO FAST. we agreed today that we got really lucky finding a first date spot we can come back to over the years because the quality has always been that good and the vegan options feel very safe to order — ive had a lot of cross-contamination issues with nonvegan places and this has never been an issue in the many times we’ve eaten at/gotten carry out from Kin.
thank you to the staff who are wonderful, the chefs who know EXACTLY what theyre doin!, and the management who seem to have found the secret sauce for a...
Read more$1 PRICE HIKE? NO BIG DEAL. LYING TO MY FACE? HUGE DEAL
I’ve been a regular customer at this place for the past 8 to 9 months, always ordering the same two sushi rolls: Spicy Tuna and Spicy Hamachi. They’ve always been $7.95 each.
Yesterday (7-5-2025), I went in to pick up my usual order and suddenly the total was noticeably higher. I asked if the prices had been raised, and the woman behind the counter said no. She insisted the price was always $8.95 and claimed her boss would’ve told her if anything changed.
I told her directly, I’ve been coming here long enough to know when something changes. I even said, “I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that the price went up.” That’s how confident I was, and how clearly I remembered.
I even showed her my previous bank transactions as proof. Instead of checking the system, she brushed it off and claimed maybe the difference came from spicy mayo, which is always a flat $1 extra and does not explain the increase across the board.
She never looked up my past orders. She never took accountability. And she treated me like I was just making it up.
This was not about a dollar. It was about how they handled the situation. I was calm, respectful, and clear, and I was dismissed.
I won’t be coming back. If you care about honesty, consistency, and being treated like your business matters, think twice before spending...
