Safe to say I'm not the first to say this joint is LEGEN... wait for it... DARY! But it was. This location doesn't seem like it's part of a chain restaurant, but it is according to the website. This spot is a little on the small size, but we enjoyed a high top table outside on the artificial turf in the shade. Enough about that, let's get down to the nitty gritty- the food! They have a $6 hot dog special on Thursdays, which most places would serve a plain dog and up charge for every ingredient... NOT HERE! All four of the hot dogs on their menu were priced at $6 after 5:00 so i did what any sane person would do and ordered all of them! I was eating so many dogs, my kids had to slap me when they saw me eyeing up the adorable shitzu pups at the table next to us. BTW, pro tip, it's dog friendly outside! So are the dogs worth it? $6? HECKYEAH. $12? SAMEZIES. I've paid almost $20 for the same portion and quality in Maryland and now I'm questioning everything. Since my #lovelanguage is quality food at amazing prices, let me tell you that they have $4 draft pints of a summer ale that's fantastic and light. Enjoy two with your meal. Our waitress, Reagan, was friendly and helpful (and totally didn't judge my eating decisions). The food came quickly. The bus boy did his thang and took care of the table as well. Kudos to a well-run establishment that impressed our touristy family during our time in Fort Lauderdale.

Saturday night out was going to be on the fly for four is us not knowing exactly where to go. One suggested to try this new restaurant he’s previously noticed on Cypress Rd and SW 6th St in Pompano Beach called Legends (legends Tavern & Grill). We all agreed to try it out… and so we went, and so it was a great treasure found. Under a beautiful decor inside and outside, relaxed and inviting, and the service is dynamic. The place has this feel of a great neighborhood pub, but I’m sure they welcome people outside their perimeter. The menu is tavern food (mainly what I call hand-held foods like sandwiches and burgers) and myriad of sharable appetizers. Everything we ordered was greatly delicious; unfortunately, we couldn’t sample everything they offered for there are so many more items on the menu. We are anticipating a next visit, soon.

I’ve been to a few Legends locations and I really loved the vibe and atmosphere of this particular location, as well as the food, which was delicious! Unfortunately, those are the only positives to my visit though. We were a party of 5 adults and an infant and we arrived during happy hour. We immediately placed cocktail, wine, and appetizer orders to make use of the happy hour specials, and the server even commented on that being the smart thing to do in case she got busy. Our server even paused on taking our food order so she could place the drink and app order during happy hour. She came back took the rest of our food orders and all seemed to be good, until the food came out. 3 of the 5 meals came out at the same time, followed minutes after by the 4th meal, and then the 5th meal which followed several minutes after that. Needless to say, by the time we were able to begin eating, the first 3 meals weren’t hot, they weren’t cold either but they would have been on point if the entire table arrived at the same time or almost immediately after the first set came out. Ok, no biggie right, have another drink and get over it, which we did. Aside from the food arriving at different times, everything else was good until it was time to check out, and unfortunately, I trusted that the bill would be accurate, but it was not. Despite ordering off of the happy hour menu during happy hour, we were charged and paid full price for most of the drinks as only 4 of the 6 were honored at happy hour pricing, and the app ordered was charged at full price also. That was a total of 6 drinks and 1 app, we ordered 2 drinks the first time around to have them at the discounted price, and while some of the drink order pricing was honored, some were not despite being on the happy hour menu. What had to be the absolute worst though was being double charged for items we only ordered, and received, one of. Not sure if it was a process to plump the bill for any variety of reasons, or just not caring, but I won’t be a patron of a location that basically lied and stole from me. Best of luck to those of you going to this location, be sure to triple check your bill and don’t have the expectation of honesty if you don’t check it right away such as myself, lesson learned the...

We arrived on Sunday evening. The restaurant was almost full. The inside area is loud and made louder by a group at the bar that had become "over served" I get it you are louder when you have been drinking and I have been that guy before but when the bar is part of a restaurant, this needs to be carefully monitored. They were so loud, they chased other customers away. Remember, it's your liquor license if these overserved patrons hurt someone! On to the experience. The host was friendly and seated us promptly. She was enthusiastic. Our server however was not. She went through the motions but was not helpful or accommodating. 15 minutes to get a draft beer. She said "I got tied up" Beer had been poured a while ago when we received it from bar staff.. Truffle Fries appetizer was poor. The fries were under done and not crispy. Very disappointing. We ordered Bean Burger and Blue cheese bacon burger. I asked to have the blue cheese burger made like a patty melt and our unhelpful server advised this was not possible. These two burgers were delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, ingredients were fresh and bun was outstanding. The manager came by our table, did not look at us or smile, picked up and empty plate, accidently banged it into the booth next to us and spilled something on the floor. She did not look at us or smile, or say anything, nor did she pick up what she spilled. Atmosphere was 1 star - would be a zero if it were not for the host Appetizer was 1 star Burgers were 5 stars Overall impression is this could be a great neighborhood place. Staff training, manager training and creating a fun experience needs a lot of work. For the money charged, this experience WAS NOT...
