Spinnato's Hoagies Deli & Cafe — Restaurant in Pompano Beach

This sub shop is a nice hole in the wall spot that should be visited at least once if you love subs. The staff was lovely and very welcoming and were very enthusiastic about having someone new try their sub. The sandwich itself is a great balance between meat/cheese, bread, and toppings; on that note the bread seems to be a point of contention in other reviews, though i personally liked it as it reminds me alot of the old laspadas bread. Topping quality is good, tomatoes and white onions being a stand out to me in freshness and flavor, respectively. Price wise you're looking at anywhere from 10$ to 20$+ depending on sub size/type and if you decide to get a drink or chip, tips are not factored into that as they are brought up but not mandatory.

As an aside as i was leaving one of the workers caught me before driving off and told me i had dropped some money, sure enough i check my pockets and the 15 dollars i had in there was missing. Though it's only 15$, I wholeheartedly appreciate the honesty from staff. Thank you.

In summary, I think this is a great place to sit down for lunch and have a nice sub. There are many sub places in Florida and this one can definitely punch in the higher weight class. I will be coming back when i find myself in the area.

Sandwich-making is an art! And this place has mastered the art of hoagie-making. All the ingredients in the correct proportions and orientation to each other. I love a good American cheese hoagie with mayo, pickles, sweet and banana peppers, and lettuce drizzled with olive oil and vinegar topped with tomatoes. Hands down this is the best cheese hoagie I’ve ever had! Just the right amount of cheese, each piece sliced to perfect thickness. Perfect amount of mayo- nothing slipped out of my roll! And you can tell they use excellent quality products! Staff was very approachable and kind leaving you with a smile. I can’t wait to go get an Italian...

Tony, the owner, is fantastic, and his employees are just as friendly and welcoming. Most of the time the place is buzzing with people, but on those rare moments when it’s quieter, it’s such a treat to catch up with Tony or chat with his team.
