New Ho King Kitchen — Restaurant in Pompton Lakes

In my continued quest to find a New York style Chinese restaurant, based on recommendations from neighbors, I tried this restaurant. I ordered online at their website which was fairly easy to do. Being a bargain hunter I couldn’t resist the family dinner for six. It came with six egg rolls, six chicken on sticks, six cheese wontons, 2 quarts of soup, two quarts of fried rice, and choice of three entrees. It came with all of the appropriate sauces, crispy noodles, etc. The delivery was promised in 55 minutes and the food arrived exactly on-time. The egg rolls were crispy and very good. The chicken on the stick was very moist and tasty. The wonton soup was tasty and very traditional. The cheese wontons were a very nice starter and the dipping sauce added nice sweetness. For entrees we had sesame chicken which got a thumbs up from my wife. I ordered roast pork lo mein which was also a thumb up. I struggled deciding on a third entree and finally gave in to honey chicken (not my personal favorite because of the thick coating batter). Overall, a very competent dinner. I’m glad the food was really good because we’ll be eating the leftovers for many days!

This place is exceptional! I believe they’ve been in business for over 30 years for good reason. Chinese food is not my favorite food but these guys do such an awesome job that everything I have from them, I love. You can tell that integrity and quality is priority in everything they make. Second of all, and I think this is extremely important, they are so friendly! They always say hello, ask how you are, make eye contact and thank you for your business. New Ho King kitchen Chinese food to take out or deliver is absolutely delicious. Whether you're picking up or having it deliver, the food is always piping hot. Their Szechuan Beef is perfectly flavorful, with the right amount of spice. The vegetable Lo Mein is incredibly fresh and not greasy. The portions are generous, and the pricing is reasonable for the quality. The staff is always super friendly and efficient. This is definitely our favorite for Chinese takeout!
