I honestly don't know why this restaurant is rated so highly. While the restaurant and its decor looks new, fresh, and quite welcoming, I cannot say that the food is good. It is not. I came in with my family a couple of weeks ago because the place was new and there aren't too many good ethnic restaurants in the area, and we love to try new places. We ordered nachos, chips and guac, and I got a Taco Al Pastor bowl. We were expecting some really good and authentic nachos, but we were disappointed in the use of movie theater cheez whiz. The guacamole was alright but a bit bland, but the taco bowl tasted off. The pork had a very, very strong acidic taste- much stronger than the pineapple flavor of any other al pastor that I have had. You would think that with the pineapple, the meat would be very tender as well, but I got multiple pieces with cartilage in my single bowl. I sincerely hope that the food here improves, as a restaurant that looks this nice should be serving better...
Read moreI gave this place three opportunities, the first time the food was great and I was excited for a new place in town. The last two times have an absolute disaster, the older lady with glasses needs some serious training. She goes a million miles an hour and makes the worst burritos. Both times I clearly picked NO PICO, guess that wasn't clear enough on the receipt, but I got PICO, ruining my meal both times. I even asked her and she confirmed that it's not in the burritos. If you love rice that's all you are going to get, nothing is balanced out, all ingredients are on one side of the burrito, she puts zero effort into making them. I asked for extra protein, I barley received anything, they load them up with rice. It's a shame that a simple meal is this hard to get right. I wish this place the best, but they will close if this continues, I hope the owner reads this, try your own food and you...
Read moreOrdered the birria burrito. It was like 20 bucks, dry, and tastes like nothing 80% flavorless rice. I thought the whole point of birria was to be able to dip it in a flavorful brothy sauce. It came with no sauce and barely any meat inside. 20$ for what?? Rice and a few black beans? Complete waste of money. Jardin Latino around the corner is 100 times better. Also they have you order on a screen and the staff is uncaring and not friendly. They had my order ready and still had me wait because they clearly don't care. I'd say pass on this or order some of their cheaper stuff because the birria was terrible. Or better yet, don't go, this place is part of a growing chain. Support the local family owned businesses here, the area has so many better options to...
