Pontotoc, MS McDonald's is by far the worst staffed McDonald's I have ever experienced. I have lived here for 2 years now and in that time frame I have had 1 non-stressfull visit. I will say that all of my horrific experiences has came from the drive- thru. Example: 9 out of 10 times going drive-thru I was asked to pull forward and no one ever brought out my food. I go inside and ask about my order and they all look at me like a purple elephant just walked through the door. No one knew anything about me ordering, so I hand them my receipt. At that moment is when they started making my food. 2 years this has went on. Today I try again. This is what happens.. I place my drive-thru order and they tell me a total of 19.53. I was thinking, that sound wrong (I ordered 2 $5.00 meals, $1.00 McChicken & a small $2.00 frape). I get to the window and they tell me a different total of 14.17 ok that sounds correct. I already had my $20(2 fives & 1 ten) in my hand from the first given total of 19.53 so I just hand it to the girl in window. She gives me back .88 cents...??? No. I get to the next window and i tell them that i didn't get back correct change. I look at my receipt and she tendered my total for $15.00 when i gave her $20 (which still wasn't the correct change back if i did only give her 15.00). Another member comes to the window and said she would have to take my name & number and call me. Uh, No!! I told her no ma'am, I need you to give me my change back now. She argues with me for a minute & I finally said look if you count that drawer you will find that it will be over. She brings me back $4.83. I explained to her that she still owed me a dollar. She argues with me again that 20.00 - 14.17=$4.83...No No No. I had to count to her the change in my hand and she still argued. Finally, I had to get a calculator and show her that she still owed me $1.00. I got my correct change back of $5.83 after about 10 minutes of argument with a member of management from this establishment. These are the experiences that I have had at the restaurant for 2...
Read moreWent thru the drive thru at this location. Decided to try the new bacon cheesy fries. I was shocked at the price of nearly $4 but I love the fries at McDonald's so I gave it a try. Very disappointing. The cheese was basically cheese whiz & was plopped in the middle instead of spreading it out. The bacon was bacon bits instead of real bacon broken up. Despite having to pull to the side specifically because of the fries, it was barely warm when I got to it. It was very messy & we weren't given a fork or napkins. As a side note, I never get napkins ever when going through McDonald's drive thru. It is the only fast food place that forces you to ask for a napkin so I always forget. So if you don't have a stash somewhere in your vehicle your basically S.O.L.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. The cheesy bacon fries were barely edible. The cheese was thick, gross & really had no taste. I had to wait until I got home to really try it since no fork or napkin. The fries were cold & soggy by that time. And this is NOT made for reheating. It seemed to make it even more soggy & unappetizing. The bacon was just ok but the cheese was like something you'd get at a carnival. At approximately $4, this is unacceptable. Needless to say, I won't be ordering these again.
The person who was with me got a plain McChicken sandwich which was made to order the first time which is surprising for this location. He also got a large regular fry that he was gracious enough to share. He refused to try my fries which I don't blame him.
Other competitors definitely have McDonald's beat on the new bacon cheesy fries in both value & taste. And I'd also add that it really is lame that McDonald's is too cheap to give you a plastic utensil & napkins with your drive thru to go order. Get with the program McDonald's. Oh, and you can forget about getting ketchup or dipping sauce either. It's also the only place who will refuse to give you more than one packet without having to explain why you could possibly need...
Read moreI placed a mobile order tonight, they charged my card the 45$ and I sent my husband and daughter to pick up. I just had a chemical peel and used MOBILE PICKUP so I wouldn't have to get out of the house! I sent the receipt to my daughter which had the mobile code listed on there. They refused to make the order or refund the money. I then called the store to try and resolve this while my husband was still there. They still refused to make the order and lied saying they hadn't charged my card. Funds pending not exactly a charge but same thing. They repeatedly said MY DEVICE has to be on location. Soooo I said cool hopped in my car, I opened my email with the said RECEIPT CODE and I turned off my wifi and mobile data before I pulled in the parking lot. Guess what they used to make my order the same RECEIPT CODE that I sent to my daughter, then proceeded to tell me "See your device had to he here", mam my phone is on airplane mode but ok, she wasnt the issue anyway, she may have been new and didnt know that the receipt code was all that was needed. She didnt ask for an ID or anything only asked to see my device which had the same RECEIPT my child had, she was nice tho. The guy my husband had issues with didnt come out til we were leaving with the order... I know yall don't treat door dash people like that, surely they don't have to go pick up the customers device and take it inside with them...make it make sense. My husband has picked up mobile orders from this location in the past without needing me, as long as he had the RECEIPT CODE we never had an issue. We will not return, we hit up this location at the drive thru fairly often as we have kids but time and time again we are disappointed. I've never posted a review but this time my husband left FIGHTING mad so we will not continue to give our hard earned money to a company that doesn't appreciate its customers. May not seem like much now but yearly...
