Literally had to stand for 20 plus minutes hanging out the front door of restaurant bc it was complete chaos . No seating. Clearly the 35+ customers awaiting to be seated including myself, were not even expecting this, kind of Donley show... how dare this place allow 5 steps from trying to enter restaurant⁵ just to literally have a cash register and cashier POSTED RIGHT AT Feont Door and making you pay right away before you can enter restaurant dining room just to literally pat 42.00 for 2 buffet adults and gave change and cashier & waitress HOLLERED , IT WOULD BE 15-25 MIN BEFORE WE COULD GO SIT,GET TABLE OR ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO GET LUNCH/BEVERAGES THAT OUR $ WAS TAKEN FOR..FOOD.. BEFORE SHE OR ANYONE EMPLOYED THERE HAD THE DECENCY TO FOREWARN US SO WE COULD HAVE ACTUALLY HAD OUR SUNDAY LUNCH PROPERLY & PLESANTLY- ANYWHERE ELSE...BUT THEREEEEEE!!! AND,AFTER WE Made A small plate of bread rolls to place on table (3 rolls) we actually had 2 horrible sides as our lunch . Whire rice was still in need of cooking longer it SAS crunchy more than 70% never fully boiled/cooked, and no meat and gravy, desserts, etc, were not an option because after All of this nightmare, leaving up to actually be enabled. Go to the buffet and make the plates. Western Sizzliin had the nerve to run out of the majority of everything for free bars. And I'm not even joking on pictures of where it's like cafeteria ransacked ,dirty dishes, mean there wasn't hell how dare they purposely by design do a misleading and just shifty scam and not just the fact our money was taken&wasted I can deal with that.... but I'm trying not to allow. My eyes to water over ...because they did so much worse than just being lazy,stealing,fibbing.... not okay.. LIARS , AND BS IS WHAT THAT WAS... MONEY. ? THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH... THEY ROBBED MT SUNDAY... OUR VERY RARE SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME TOGETHER. AWFUL JUST...

Read moreI recently visited Western Sizzlin' in Pooler, Georgia, and overall, it was a decent experience.
When I arrived, I found it a bit confusing to figure out where to sit and how to pay, as the hostess’ instructions weren’t very clear.
As for the food, there were definitely some highlights and a few misses.
The mac and cheese was creamy and cooked perfectly, earning a 9 out of 10.
The garlic chicken quarters and breasts were also delicious, nearly falling off the bone, and rated an 8 out of 10.
The green beans were nicely prepared with no added salt, which is great for health-conscious diners, so that got a 9 out of 10.
On the other hand, the breaded catfish was a bit cold and mushy, so that came in at a 6 out of 10.
The teriyaki chicken was quite dry, unfortunately, earning a 4 out of 10.
The breaded fried chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, giving it an 8 out of 10,
and the sweet tea was consistently good at 8 out of 10 as well.
The fried fish had a bit too much piled up seasoning for my taste, so that got a 6 out of 10.
The garlic parmesan wings were absolutely the highlight—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and a solid 10 out of 10!
The beef tips with peppers and onions were tasty but just average in tenderness, so a 7 out of 10.
The barbecue ribs were okay, but a bit dry and lacking sauce, so they got a 7 out of 10.
Lastly, the baked beans were fantastic, earning a 9.5 out of 10.
Overall, it was a good first visit, but I’m not sure it’ll become a regular spot for me-looking for some comfort...
