I waited months for this place to open and have been there 5 times before writing this review. Sadly, they still have not gotten it together and corporate grossly misjudged how busy it was going to be. The layout is unlike any Wawa I've been in. Honestly, it is poorly laid out. There is nowhere to wait for your food except in front of the coffee machines, which are closed half the time anyway.
Everytime I'm there, they are out of food items such as roast beef, pizza and mac and cheese. They just literally disappear from the ordering screens on the days that they are out of stock. They've been out of rewards cards for over a month. Bakery items are wiped out. Twice, the ketchup packs have been empty and no forks were available. On a Sunday, two of the 4 kiosks to order food were closed down. On another visit, the drinks station was closed and the drinks were not on the kiosk menus. The pretzels at the checkouts are sometimes full and forget the hot foods at the checkouts, they are constantly empty and you're lucky if one register has a cashier. There are 2 self serve registers.
And the biggest snafu of all: There is one muddy disorganized way into the parking lot from Pooler Parkway and literally NO WAY OUT unless you want to make a right down Pine Barren Road. So literally everyone is forced to make an illegal left turn out of the parking lot (which is way too small) to get back to Pooler Parkway. Seriously, WTH. Who is the genius who planned this mess?
The food takes way too long but is usually correct and tastes good. I was hoping it would get better but sadly, it has not. I am guessing they are grossly understaffed. I don't know how their product and supplies ordering system works, but it is a disaster at this location. Mail out free welcome coupons to the entire community and not have enough mac and cheese to fill the orders? Please do better. This location really gives your company a bad name and doesn't represent any Wawa I have ever stepped into. Whoever thought this place wasn't going to be this busy really knows nothing about the ridiculousness that has...
Read moreSo, my experience at 2am. Ok.. so I haven’t been in awhile to the store because of the poor service in the food area. I tried tonight again another bad food experience. I only ordered Rice and A buttered which is normally toasted shortie roll and a small vanilla matcha. Simple.. Right? Would think so. I only ordered this simply cause when I order more food the workers don’t seem to pay attention to all the details of the order!! For instance, order “suppose” to be ready at 2:50 am easy easy order not busy. Rice on the counter getting cold while I’m still waiting on a Butter toasted Shorti Roll!! Why am I waiting on a piece of dang bread. Meanwhile they at the counter just chatting it up I’m waiting… get back home rice still “fairly warm” opened my roll.. just a sandwich loaf with butter smeared on it.. Not toasted!! Probably won’t be back soon the experience is just too bad and it makes the food taste bad once everything is completed which is never all at once by the pick up time. Honestly I couldn’t be a manager there.. I’m a hands own person.. I would be back there helping check-in making sure everything is together and slanging orders out.. cause why are you running your mouth messing up a rice and toasted shorti roll order? Overnight is pretty laid back no excuses for not paying attention to details of orders. Please do better. The store just opened and quality help in the food service industry seems to be hard to find. Food is too expensive to mess up orders these days and have unsatisfied customers it’s upsetting at this point. I’m giving you my money for quality products. Not...
Read moreSo I have been to this location twice since the opening and had a less than desirable experience. The 2nd time was worst than the first. With the delay in order times due to miscommunication in the app. And also food being incorrect. I was so frustrated with my experience that I reach out to customer service. They responded and rectified the issue within 24 hours. In addition to that one of the managers from the store reached out to follow up as well to ensure me that they are actively working out the kinks as the location is new and needs time to be established. Which is completely reasonable. (I’m sure nobody could predict the excessive amount of customers in such a short amount of time.) Truly I didn’t intend on returning to this location due to these 2 experiences but with the company doing its due diligence to correct their mistakes encourages me to give them another chance. I believe with time and the opportunity things will level out and run as it was intended. Thanks Kim! I appreciate you for following up. My family and I will be back. You have our grace and hope others...
