I’ve eaten here more than 10 times, sometimes with a mobile order. Good food and Nice folks. Unfortunately, almost every time when I went inside I was not greeted or acknowledged by multiple employees and my order has been so slow. I don’t expect a fast burger, since they are cooked to order but I’d like it to not sit in the window for so long while employees are leaning and chatting. Also, everyone makes mistakes so I did not say anything the last two times, I was too far away anyways when I noticed my order was wrong. Today I checked my food before I left. Today is the third time in a row my food order has been wrong. I had two burgers, both with extra tomatoes. Had to send one back but I did not notice the tomatoes were missing on the other burger too. Not worth going back in. It’s just 35 cents but still annoying.
They did apologized briefly for the error and again when I told them they are just slow. (hated to say it) Again, super nice workers but they just move in slow motion every time I’m there. I finally said something today about how slow they are, and I felt awful for doing that. But the other folks waiting were mumbling about it too. I’ve never noticed any managers either. When there are multiple people waiting for their orders, during lunchtime, there should be some hustle. Drive thru employees seem a little faster sometimes. Good...
Read moremy names Elijah and i’m a former employee of this dairy queen. i understand people have their own opinions of this place but for me it feels like home. the managers Jared, Josh and Bradley, i think of all of them as brothers and i’ve seen them in action at the store. they provide great costumer service to the best of their ability even when the waters get high. others may think that the employees and managers at this store don’t care or blow off employees but no one has ever been in their position or ever done their job. but i can guarantee you the customers ALWAYS come first. they have amazing kitchen employees and amazing ice cream employees. no matter what these reviews say this place was a place i wanted my daughter to grow up seeing when she got off of school or came to see me. but because of personal matters i decided to leave. but at the end of the day. this store was what made me who i was and was the fault-line if my happiness. and the employees and managers strive for innovation and greatness and that’s something that inspired me daily. i never understood the phrase “We make happy” until i seen everyone’s face for my last time behind the counter. and i can honestly say i’ll miss this place with everything in me. if you’re ever feeling down about anything. stop in at your local dairy queen. because the DQ Team is the way to...
Read moreI've been going there several times, after most places in Poplar Bluff disappointed me too much with bad food or poor service, and I always loved their fries. However, the soda fountain tends to leak over your hand, the floors would be quite sticky, you'd shoo flies away, and the food would occasionally come out under- or overcooked. The drive-through service was... meh. Sometimes they'd be nice, other times they couldn't be bothered to smile at you or say "Have a nice day!". Usually, when the place opens up at 10 am, their fries aren't ready till about 10:20 am. The most aggravating experience I had was when no one was at the counter. Me and a customer were waiting there, and you'd hear the staff hiding right behind the wall in the kitchen, watching a video on their cellphone and talking with another (you could hear it very clearly, seeing how they were quite close to the counter but out of sight). I've never seen anything like that. Do you know any restaurant where all the staff would hide from their customers to watch videos on cellphones? And the door I opened slammed shut, so they clearly heard someone come in, just couldn't bother to stop hiding from the customers. This only happened one time... but it...
