The only positive thing that happen was our entire order was free.
So, let's talk about what was wrong. We walked in at 12:40am. First off, there was only 2 clean tables in the entire place. Every other table has dirty dishes on them. It was only half full of customers. Maybe several tables walked out right as we got there? Either way, when we left, none of the tables got bussed. We sat at the one clean table (my girlfriend and myself) and were greeted promptly. (Guess that was good too). She took our drink orders and brought them out. Then she took our food orders. About 40 minutes later after not checking on us, our waitress (we found out she was the night manager) told us that they lost our check and someone else paid for it. She had to take our order again. We re ordered and she told us that we would get an appetizer free of charge for the wait. So now we to wait again. This time, our waitress disappears. Our appetizer comes out right before our meals. The appetizer comes out with only ranch dressing. No ketchup or anything else was left. Had to ask for that. All of the food was barely warm. I ordered a double cheeseburger and asked for raw onion and received none. We didn't end up leaving till just after 2am.
Worst part of the night, I got a look up the managers nose. One side was completely whited out.
If I wasn't starving, I would of walked out right then...
Read moreI'd give them 4 stars, if they didn't go downhill the last few times I went there... Their food was always great and it was a place my dad and I would go to breakfast to, but sometimes they'd hire some questionable waitresses with attitudes, which does happen in those places. One had a tattoo on her arm that said "f* you" on it, which she showed by slowly pulling up her sleeve while she'd take our order... which is a waitress I only saw once (seems more people noticed that and got her fired). There was this rumor about an employee supposedly spreading Hepatitis A at one point, and if you look it up on Google, several sites will confirm that. Other than that, I really loved their staff, the fact that they were open 24 hours a day (even though night-shift had lazy, rude staff) with one cook who would greet me when coming in, but I'm not too pleased with some other employees there... The worst thing I can say is that they always seem to have an issue with their mozzarella sticks. I don't know why, but they tasted great at the beginning, then like some flavorless paste (a waitress described it as Play-Doh), and the last few times it was so greasy that I couldn't keep my food down when I came home. Kind of sad, really... It was my favorite breakfast place, but I switched to Earl's...
Read moreWe took our service dog with us this morning to eat breakfast. . He quietly laid under the table as he's trained to do. After our meal was served, I ordered an extra egg and a minute later the manager? owner? came over and loudly states that our service dog isn't allowed to eat in a restaurant. (I had fed him 2 pieces of my egg by hand by the way.) He also loudly stated we should know better than to feed the dog there. How embarrassing!! My husband has a seizure disorder. He is a bit shy to begin with and now has someone loudly scolding him in a public place. There were people staring at us!!! Not sure why he couldn't have quietly mentioned he'd prefer us not feed our dog anything. We were completely mortified by how were talked to. If you have a disability of any type, don't eat at Huddle House. You may get called out if you do anything that whoever that rude man was deems offensive.. To top things off, the food was average at best and my waffle was cold when it was served. I have family and friends that I've let know how cruddy we were treated. They will never go back to eat there. I hope others take note and eat...
