Taco Taco Fresh Mex — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

Ok. You will not find better food anywhere in poplar bluff except here. I went to st louis recently and tried chipotle for the first time with the thought "Oh its probably like taco taco" in mind. WRONG. i spit chipotle out. I cannot BELIEVE people settle for that. Taco taco BODIES chipotle it blows it out of the WATER. if taco taco was in a bigger town people would come across the globe to try it. Im serious. I went a week straight eating here because not only is the food DIVINE !!!!!!! its HALF THE PRICE of chipotle. It is so reasonable like $10 for 3 tacos?? Around the same for a gigantic burrito?? Of course ! They load those tacos up so much 1 could fill you up for all day. Oh my god, I love taco taco. I love taco taco? I LOVE TACO TACO. it is genuinely laughable that chipotle is as big of a business as it is when taco taco exists. This place is perfect. And ive never once had a rude employee or bad experience, everybody here is awesome and kind and id imagine has to go through 10 highly skilled interviews to work at a place as majestic as this. No taco Tuesday specials. I had a bowl and wish I told her to go light on the Mexican rice. I prefer half salad and half rice normally. It was a lot of rice for me. I did a veggie bowl and the peppers were barely cooked. Zucchini and squash were cooked well. Lots of options for toppings and sauces. I went heavy on the hot sauces as I didn’t hear the girl say that it was hot and wasn’t given the option of doing half and half of sauces. It would be helpful to put signs what each sauce was as I had to have her repeat herself.

As a vegetarian it would be nice to list a veggie bowl option on the sign. And to cook the onions and peppers similar to a fajita style rather than raw.

Staff was friendly but I felt a bit rushed in ordering my meal. Once I decided on a sauce the girl was quick to just leave my order with the cashier to help another customer. There was no enjoy your meal or direction on where to get my utensils. A bit more customer service would be helpful for first time customers.

They have many different topping options from beef to barbacoa and everything in between. Once you choose your meat you move on to all the extra. They have cheeses, fire roasted corn, pico and anything else your heart desires. Did I mention BACON?! They also have taco Tuesdays where you can get $1 tacos!
